Hang Tuah - Sumagung — Restaurant in Jakarta

Just tried their Kopi O and Kaya Toast today. Always love this type of Peranakan-black-coffee style, and, here, the composition just feels right. They also have the Jus Kedondong that can be ordered without sugar and the Barley Drinks that i still haven't taste but wish that i did. The list of their food menu are diverse as well aside of the typical Kopi Tiam's toast that i enjoyed.

I live quite far from Kelapa Gading area, but used to go to eat there with husband or friends.

Wanna come back one day if i possible.. just to hangout enjoying drinks or light snacks (after heavier meal) in Hang Tuah again.

Plus I hope its inspiring enough for Kopi Tiams owner opening their space near my house in Jagakarsa area since its still hard...

Small and cozy coffee/tea shop nestled in Kelapa Gading's old food district.

Much like other kopitiam, Hang Tuah boasts different kinds of coffee and tea. Their menu, though, is not as extensive as others. However, their modest selection of food is not a drawback as the dishes are quite yummy.

Hang Tuah has outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor seating is the smoking section. The indoor seating is kind of small and will not able to handle a large group (8-10 max).

All and all it's a good place to chill and hangout. Price is reasonable and the atmosphere is great. Parking can be a hit and miss. I would suggest parking way down the road (jl raya kelapa gading permai) to...

Food and drink is okay, not as fresh as we would like (fried chicken in nasi uduk is just warm, butter toast feels a bit stale/not crunchy), but waiter is attentive and place is comfortable enough.

However for some reason, the toilet is out of order.. its really annoying especially when we do want to spend more time there.. when we use the toilet next door/across the street (other shops), they (other shop's owner) mentioned this place's toilet has been out of order for couple of days so some customer had to use their toilet instead.. which is really inconsiderate for us as paying customer.
