Nasi Campur KacaMata Kelapa Gading — Restaurant in Jakarta

I finally had an opportunity to have lunch at this famous mixed-rice stall during our recent holiday in Jakarta. I ordered the hainam mixed-rice that came with 3 types of delicious Cantonese style toppings i.e. the roast duck, roast pork and BBQ pork (char siu). The hainam rice was so fragrant and you can eat it with the soup only 👍. All toppings were nice, but my No 1 favorite is the honey-glazed BBQ pork 🤤.

The place has casual ambience, but nice to have cool A/C during hot and humid days in Jakarta. Customer services are average, but you get your food quick. Prices are quite premium but it reflects the best quality of the food offerings. I spent about Rp 88k including ice lemon tea drink. The place only accepts cash payment, which is weird since the prices you will pay are quite high and requires you to get cash...

Nasi Campur Kacamata Kelapa Gading is an excellent choice for a delicious and affordable Chinese meal. The friendly atmosphere makes it perfect for a casual gathering with friends or family.

Bubur Ayam Telor Phitan: I loved this dish! The savory chicken porridge is incredibly comforting, and the addition of the phitan (preserved duck egg) adds a unique and flavorful twist.

Nasi Hainam Ayam: Their Hainanese chicken rice is another winner. The rice is perfectly cooked, and the chicken is tender and juicy.

Tips:

Be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially on weekends, as this place is quite popular.

Tasteless... except for the Honey Chasio. Hainam rice was tasteless, bland, I believe white rice tasted better in this case. The brown sauce didn't compliment each other, tasted so-so and not to my liking. They have quite a few unavailable dishes when we came.

As it was early in the morning, around 8am, place was still clean. I read about reviews saying they saw cockroaches roaming about even on their tables, I didn't see any at that time, maybe due to their opening time and the cleanliness of the place at that moment. Good thing I didn't encounter any or I'll be posting pictures about them here instead.
