The most enjoyable time I have ever had dining in a hospital is at Cafe RSPI. They have a quite range of food selection which could satisfy your palate. However, it also comes with some downsides. The food is not always consistent. We ordered Sop Buntut (Oxtail Soup) and Nasi Goreng Ayam Kremes, and here is what I think about them:
Sop Buntut: The soup is clear, earthy, with good amount of spice and veggies which would warm your stomach. But it didn't do the job quite good as when it was served to us, the soup was not hot anymore (not even that warm), so it was quit dissappointing. Some of the oxtail are too chewy, while some are really tender. So the taste is there, but the consistency is not.
*Nasi Goreng Ayam Kremes: Another inconsistency would be the chicken that was served. I got a quite small portion of the chicken, which in my previous visit the size was decent. However, the taste is there, I enjoyed finishing my dish but hopefully they will ensure that the chicken size/portion would be more consistent in the future.
Besides the full-meal option, what I consider as the winner from this cafe is the snacks section where you can choose snacks of your liking from their huge selections of traditional indonesian snacks. Bacang, risol, otak-otak, pastel (all of which I have tried) and more. The risol is nice, the otak-otak is okay, bacang is decent and pastel is nice. But my favourite snack will be the lupis. It is one of the tastiest lupis there is. You should definitely getting one whenever you visit RSPI Pondok Indah.
In conclusion, overall, the food is good and you have many options to choose from, the atmosphere is good (considering it is located inside a hospital) but just needs some care in terms of consistency of its...

Read moreThis cafeteria and restaurant is located inside the RS Pondok Indah hospital, and features simple but good Indonesian dishes. We tried the special rice congee (with chicken liver) and some sweet desserts. The rice congee was okay, but definitely not among the top rice congees we have tried in Jakarta. The sweets were fine. The cafeteria is very basic, so don’t expect any ambience. The staff is very friendly. Please note that this cafeteria doesn’t accept credit cards, but only cash or debit cards. A decent restaurant when you have something that brings you to...
