Service extremely bad :( Came there for dinner Enter and nobody care us for 10 mins even we ask few times to staff but they ignored It has 2 tables empty but they said we can't eat because full reservation, then suddenly another staff came said yes we can Ordered and reconfirm 3 times and staff said yes but finally forgot to input It took 15 mins just to get the tea, need to ask so many staff then finally staff called Ayu responded quite fast I waited another 10 mins for my soju until ask some staff but everyone ignored until I met Ayu then she served my soju immediately Meat came 2 portion but there is no additional sauce or vegetables (typical Korean style) till I need to ask the staff and still need to wait for 15mins till get the sauce (only sauce) and need to ask so many times to many staff for the vegetables and finally another 10 mins (it was also i can ask Ayu) Finally food taste cold and not feel good. I feel the service was the worst that I ever experienced in Korean restaurant.
I gave 2 stars because of the hard work and support from Ayu. Thank You Ayu, it was not that mess because of you.
In Myeonggal as their Group, i didnt experience that Bad. But in here really bad even has staff also wear uniform Myeonggal but her service was really bad. when I was eating there, I heard also few customers complaining the services, quite mess and ignorance. Similar like my experience, staff forgot and ignore the customers.
Maybe too busy at that time so they...
Read moreWent here earlier this year, 1st visit was nice (I remember their jeyuk bokkeum was amazing), 2nd visit wasn’t that great due to service.. 3rd visit (today) the service quality is better, food is the same tho, not that worth it.
Their samgyetang is basically just plain chicken soup: It’s a bit salty for me, but okay for my family, you can really taste the pepper in the soup Chicken is too mushy, maybe coz they used ayam negeri It didn’t have any stuffings, just soup and chicken and tons of spring onions, no jujube etc.
The dolsot bibimbap.. To start with, they didn’t even use the dolsot/stone bowl, they heated a metal bowl but when it got delivered to my bowl, the bowl is not even warm anymore tho a bit of burnt rice got stuck at the bottom of the bowl. It seems like they only blanched the veggies for the bibimbap (it didn’t have spinach or bean sprouts, just came out with blanched carrots, radish, zucchini) so I personally think it’s overpriced and not worth it. Even eating plain white rice with side dish were better.
Overall, the menu dishes: i totally don’t recommend. Side dishes are very yum (since 1st visit). Food delivery was a bit slow coz kitchen is not on the 1st floor.
P.S. I think this is my first time writing a review this long. I really hope they can improve, the place seems cozy and their...
Read moreI’m not a K-BBQ type of person so I’ve always tried to find a good Korean restaurant that serves food other than bbq meat. I came here because I wanted to try their soups selection and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
I’ve been craving for a good korean soup but could hardly find a good one in Jakarta. Imagine my surprise when I saw Dogani Tang in their menu! The taste is authentic and perfectly seasoned (which says a lot considering I tend to find food in Indonesia to be on the salty side).
Their yukgaejang is delicious as well, albeit it’s missing Gosari (like other korean resturants in Indo). The meat in the yukgaejang is tender & a lot! Along with the chewy noodle, this soup is hearty & perfect during the rainy season.
Their nakji kimchi jeon is another dish that you have to try! So delicious, although a bit salty, but then again I prefer my food on the less salty side so that could just be me. The jeon is very well made! The crispy edge and chewy inside with loads of nakji just made this jeon utter perfection. Probably the best jeon I’ve tasted in Indo so far.
The variety of banchan is yummilicious, esp. their kimchi & anchovy. I even end up buying their kimchi on the regular now so I can have it at home. 35k idr for 500gr of kimchi, yes please!
All in all, Itaewon is becoming one of my favourite Korean...
