I have visited this place alot, and so far I've never been disappointed.. well, until today. 1st things first the waiter was really being impolite, he kept rushing me and my gf to place our order while both of us literally just opened the menu. After that he wasn't being corporate when we ask abt view things (abt the food ofc), and he was groaning in front of our face. After that our food finally came, as you can see at the pictures the portion both of the food was totally different, my gf actually noticed that (she actually have ordered this fries and pork quite often) and we called the waiter and ask him is they given us the right portion, he given us the straight answer (and totally being rude) "yes it is" and walk away just like that. in those pictures, we both haven't touch our food at all. And the worst part is actually the fried and pork that my gf ordered (with spice honey sauce) again I repeat, SHE HAVE ORDERED THIS FOOD OFTEN and this time it taste so horrible, it has the same flavour as indonesian traditional snack Gemblong. It's way too sweet, it has a thick sugar coating at the fried pork, and back again.. the size its so different. And the last part, we both sat at the 2nd floor that is a smoking area, and the rude waiter that I have mentioning before was yelling to downstairs said "gila gila ada kebakaran di lt 2" loudly, while knowing there's only me and my gf there. Idk what was happening with this resto but this is such a big disappointment, and we will never comeback to Pig Hunter...
Read morePig Hunter, located in Sunter, North Jakarta, offers a cozy dining experience with a rustic Western atmosphere. Despite its modest size, the restaurant comfortably accommodates around a dozen tables, exuding a Wild West charm with its wooden decor and country music playing in the background.
During my visit, I opted to try their signature dish, the Babi Guling, which blends Asian and Western culinary influences. While the concept intrigued me, I found the portion of pork to be slightly lacking compared to the accompanying vegetables. Nevertheless, the taste was satisfactory, though not exceptional, and the price felt a bit steep for the serving size.
Pig Hunter boasts a diverse menu featuring a variety of pork dishes inspired by both Western and Asian cuisines. While I only sampled one dish, the freshness and quality of the ingredients were notable, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience.
In terms of service, the staff was attentive and efficient, ensuring a pleasant mealtime experience. However, the pricing seemed a tad overpriced for the portion sizes offered.
Overall, Pig Hunter provides a charming atmosphere with a fusion of flavors from the East and West. While prices may be slightly higher than expected and portion sizes could be more generous, the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and unique culinary offerings make it a worthwhile dining destination in Sunter,...
Read moreBeen here 2 yrs ago with friends and today with my husband. Definitely does not taste the same. Mostly taste like salted preserved pickled food. And dishes are served cold. My recommendation? Dont order any other than pork. Stir fry veggie way too salty. There is a saying in this place, "season everything with love". I have always correlate love with something sweet, not salt. Curry pork ribs was very nice back then but now i cant feel any other spices other than salt. Pork ribs too skinny got so lil meat on it. The best of worst is its pork satay. Not that salty coz they put sweet soya sauce and herbs. For its interior, a bit suggestion, painted all black doesnt mean it need less cleaning and tidying. 1st floor still ok. But starting from cashier up the stairs to toilets, it smells no good. This place used to leave a good impression in my mind. Quite...
