Restoran Al Hilal — Restaurant in Jakarta

Was here early Aug 2019. No parking lot. Comfortable enough interior, a bit cramped but I came for late lunch at 1.30pm so was alone. Actually I was here only for the need to eat before going to the Textile museum nearby. An old Arabian guy run this restaurant, so old that the senior waitress had to mention specifically the code and price of each dish I ordered, for him to enter into the cashier machine. Me, the only customer at that time, had only nasi kebuli kambing for 70K and plain tea, and he still got the price wrong :) would've really hate to be here at peak hours. Taste was just so-so, big plate, the mutton meat was in considerably big size and fork-tender. The condiments were weird, cucumber and tomato with a splash of bottled chili sauce. Just average, my hunger was sated, but I think for the price they could've had...

Good reastaurant when I want to taste Arabic Persian cuisine, such as humus, karak, biriyani with basmati rice, kebuli, etc. Indonesian cuisine also provide here is sop kambing. This spot not very big and comfortable due to no AC, only fan used here but the important is here I can find various food/cuisine with fair price. The taste is good but for me it's needed more salt. Unfortunately I can't find...

Restoran Al Hilal merupakan restoran yang menyajikan sebagian besar menu makanan khas timur tengah seperti nasi kebuli ayam atau kambing, nasi kapsah ayam atau kambing, nasi briani ayam atau kambing, mugalgal, sambosa, marak kambing, juga menyediakan makanan ikan seperti gurame, ikan tenggiri hingga salad.

Rasa masakan timur tengah yang disajikan sangat khas dan kental dengan bumbu. Olahan daging kambingnya juga empuk dan rasa bumbunya cukup menyerap. Waktu penyajian tidaklah terlalu lama dan secara harga cukup terjangkau. Masalah rasa cukup memuaskan bagi penggemar masakan timur tengah juga cocok untuk lidah orang Indonesia.
