The place a truly a rare find near home. I saw this cafe by chance while visiting Fountainhead cafe next door. When I finally got a chance to try, the food and drinks were not disappointing at all. In fact it became an instant favorite for my daughter. We ordered nasi lidah dabu-dabu and nasi goreng sengkel and they were exceptionally tasty. The second time I tried their tongseng sengkel, the soup was rich and flavorful, but the meat is not the sengkel kembang part that I love. The spaghetti bolognese was also quite good. I also recommend trying their combro, very nice! Their nasi ayam sambal matah is my new favorite. Perfectly deep fried crunchy chicken pieces with spicy sambal matah dominated with shallots really made my day. Piled on top of fluffy hot white rice, it was a pleasure in eve eh bite. The Himalayan coffee was the perfect company to cool down after eating spicy foods, it was unique and tasty. Overall, this will continue to be our favorite place for lunch in Kembangan area. Once we came on a Saturday evening and the vibe was very different as they had live music at the time and the space was more crowded. It was still a very...

Went here and it's very, very crowded (someone booked 2 big tables). The staff tried to fit us into a table of 2 & said all of other tables were reserved beforehand, indoor & outdoor.
In the future, please do communicate via your social media if you cannot accommodate anymore cust due to reservations, so we don't waste time visiting. This is a pretty common practice among coffeeshop to post story/inform custs via IG story (esp. if the rsvp that took place, took a long time staying there. Just say you're "full house" or something).
Moreover, the place was very noisy and unclean (flies near the window, sticky tables). Again, I don't get how someone can book 2 big tables (15+ ppl) on a small coffeeshop without VIP room ("it was a sudden reservation", the staff said), it was a messy & uncomfortable situation, I saw the staff turned away some other customers as well due to the big group.
The pastries & coffee is good though. The Himalaya & Matcha Black Sesame is must-try. Such a shame that the place wasn't too accommodating (would prefer to go to T-natap instead...
Read moreI like their Nasi goreng sengkel cabe ijo, it would be better if the taste of the fried rice was not that strong as it overpowered the sengkel cabe ijo itself. The pho came with beef chunks instead of beef strips, however the broth was not too flavourful. I agree with their recommended dessert, banana bomb. It is cold banana bread served with a vanilla ice cream on top. Just the right type of mild dessert for me, although a bit pricey (51k). The last was the Himalaya coffee, should have noticed from the name, it had a dash of Himalaya salt! It's unusual but not my kind of coffee.
The place was crowded, but the service was pretty fast. There is an outdoor area, which is quite comfortable with fans on the ceiling. The indoor interior is minimalist, and they put efforts in the lighting to expose the neat wooden attic. Unfortunately, the space between tables is too close which makes the restaurant less cozy when...
