When I arrived in Amed I was looking for something to eat. When I drove past Moon Cafe everyone was so friendly I decided to stop.
Supporting small businesses and local families is important to me and this is a true family business. Dewi the mom runs the resto and her daughter Cynthia cooked my meal. And Adi, the father, is a driver and runs tours. What a team they make!
I’m a solo traveler and they sat and chatted with me, taught me some Balinese words, and shared some of their favorite places to visit with me. It was like sharing a meal with dear friends and I felt so welcomed and comfortable there. Plus the food was great, (Vegan tofu curry) and they even made me a custom green juice not listed in the menu. All freshly prepared for a fair price.

The beers weren't the coldest for me and they did seem to run out.. the food was average. The burgers tasted a bit odd. The buns weren't the freshest and the club sandwich was also not the best. I did read similar comments in other reviews so hopefully they improve and it will be well...
