100% recommended! This vegan went 6 times!
They have a huge menu, with a lot of variety for every taste, and over 15 vegan options (as well as catering to different dietary requirements) and there are heaps of options to keep me and my friends coming back. Some of my friends are meat eaters too. The atmosphere is lovely, they have split the restaurant into 2 areas, and both are great, no air con but lots of fans. RIMBA means jungle, and they have gone all out on the vibe, so much greenery and jungle plants, with big glass windows to see the lush surrounds. At night, the garden is lit beautifully, and there is even a nice outdoor table tucked away in the garden.
The food I ordered:
I have to mention, two of my friends had burgers (the beef and the vegan jackfruit patty) and they ended up feeling a bit sick afterwards, so I don't know if the burgers were oily, heavy or just too big for my friends. So I stayed away from the burger menu. Other times my friend had the tart of the day (not vegan) and she loved it.
Desserts: They have a pastry display at the front, you have to walk out to the street to see it (I missed it the first 2 times, so I thought I would point it out haha). They have some vegan Snickers bars and other vegan chocolate bar delights. They have
Drinks: They have vegan oat milk and vegan soy milk They had some specials on the chalkboard: Alchemy Lemonade - a not-too-sweet lemonade with rosemary syrup and butterfly pea tea, I ended up having it 4 times, only 28K and really unique and refreshing. Salty dog latte - Iced coconut milk latte with salty caramel syrup, absolutely delish - also really unique and refreshing. Matcha iced latte - great, not too bitter and not pre-sweetened Iced Taro Latte - for a non-caffeine option, really nice and sweet
They are always busy, so sometimes it is hard to get the waiter's attention, but the staff are all lovely and helpful. Lacks vegan breakfast options - unless you want a smoothie bowl :D They have 6 vegan smoothie bowls, but I didn't try them. Also, I didn't get to try the vegan coconut ceviche because they were out of it every time, but I am sure it would have been divine! Other vegan options I didn't try: Vegan Pumpkin waffles (rare to find them without eggs and milk), Vegan summer salad, Jackfruit...

We came to RIMBA as a group of five, looking forward to enjoying some drinks, desserts, and a relaxed evening. The cafe even provides games like Jenga, which we initially appreciated as a fun touch for groups. However, our experience quickly turned unpleasant due to the behavior of another customer and the way the staff handled the situation.
Shortly after settling in, a customer seated next to our table demanded that we not make any noise. Out of courtesy, we stopped playing Jenga and kept our conversation at a normal volume. To our surprise, a second staff member later came over to warn us again, simply for talking. This was shocking, especially in a public cafe environment that’s supposed to be a social and enjoyable space.
We felt like we were suddenly in a meditation room, not a casual hangout spot. What was supposed to be nice thing to do of our visit to Amed ended up being frustrating and uncomfortable.
This situation could’ve been easily resolved if the staff had managed the unreasonable request from that one customer more appropriately. Instead, it felt like we were penalized for simply existing in the space, while others around us continued to chat freely without issue.
Poor staff training and unclear SOPs led to an unfair experience, and unfortunately, we left feeling unwelcome and disappointed.
Don’t bother to visit this place in Amed, not to mentioned the amount of mosquitoes bites we had....

I visited this restaurant with four friends, making us a group of five. We were genuinely looking forward to spending a relaxed evening together. The restaurant even provided a Jenga game, which we assumed was there to create a fun, social atmosphere for guests.
We ordered drinks and dessert — nothing extravagant, just enough to enjoy our time. To our surprise, we were immediately reprimanded by the staff for supposedly being too noisy, despite the fact that we were simply laughing and chatting like any normal group of friends. We were not being disruptive or out of control.
What made the situation worse was the attitude of one particular waitress, who spoke to us in a rude and condescending manner. The treatment we received felt extremely unwelcoming, almost as if we were being looked down on for being locals. Is this how Indonesian guests are treated? As if we don’t belong or can’t afford to be there because we’re not foreigners?
Frankly, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. It was insulting, discriminatory, and borderline racist — and it happened in our own country.
I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — especially fellow locals. Think twice before you visit.
