La Plage Amed — Restaurant in Kecamatan Abang

Writing this as soon as I’m back home after having dinner here. Good experience! Thank you so much for having us :)

THE STAFF REALLY NEED SPECIAL MENTION & APPRECIATION! I’ve been staying in Tulamben & Amed for a while, no other staff (restaurants, cafes, even hotels) are this friendly & smiley!

Not many guests when we arrived so I said hi & talked to them when they’re preparing our meal without feeling guilty I might take much of their time when they’re too busy working. They have cute open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. This restaurant had 3 staff tonight (1 waiter, 2 cooks). They’re all the sweetest! Mbok who was cooking even joked around with me.

When arriving the waiter served us complimentary drinking water. Loved the fact that he noticed one bottle might not be enough for all of us 4. He served us 2 bottles right away. I love how he paid attention to details he’s taking care of the customers.

FOOD Overall good food. Gnocchi could’ve been improved texture-wise. Disappointed they don’t have pesto sauce anymore, but mushroom cream sauce was so yummy (as recommended by super friendly waiter)! Lasagna, sandwich & fish were good too! Loved my pure mango juice, just the right consistency.

LOCATION By the beach facing the sea. It’s beautiful.

DOGGO I’m not sure if he’s this restaurant’s dog… I reckon he might just local stray dog. He’s so cute & sweet. Loved the fact that staff let them be (roam around begging food to us 😂)....

My girlfriend and I recently dined at La Plage, and it was truly fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. I ordered the Fritter Platter and French Fries, while my girlfriend enjoyed the Tofu Curry. The food was absolutely delicious, surpassing our expectations. The beachside setting added to the overall experience, creating a delightful ambiance. I highly recommend trying their rolled ice cream, especially the Nutella flavor. It was the best ice cream we had in Bali, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience that we'll cherish.

We had a great experience in "La Plage". We were just passing by and notice the sign for home made ice cream which was delicious, my wife had some churros aswell. Nothing but excellent cooking and fresh local products. Friendly atmosphere and the staff is very smilly. The spot has an astonishing beach front view, espicially for sunset. We spend the whole afternoon there, arrived there around 2pm and left the restaurant at 11pm. Could even borrowed a pair of fins and snorkel from the owners, which was very helpful and a kind person, give us all sort of informations about what to do around. Definitly would come back there again when...
