This is a review mainly about the restaurant since we did not stay in their hotel.
During our stay in Amed, we had the pleasure of dining at Warung Enak multiple times, and it was nothing short of spectacular! True to its name ("enak" means delicious in Indonesian), this spot serves some of the most flavorful and authentic Balinese dishes Iâve ever tasted.
The setting is warm and welcoming, with a laid-back vibe that perfectly complements Amed's tranquil atmosphere. The open-air seating surrounded by lush greenery made for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Now, letâs talk about the foodâabsolutely phenomenal! Everytime we ordered something else. From the delicious fish, to the well seasoned Nasi Campur, every dish was bursting with flavor. They also prepare some homemade cakes every single day, absolutely amazing.
The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were happy to offer recommendations and explained the dishes with genuine enthusiasm. Since we were also dining with our 8 month old son, they prepared a high chair and boiled some plain rice and vegetables for him.
This place truly captures the heart and soul of Balinese cuisine. I canât recommend it enoughâif youâre in Amed, donât miss out on this...
Read moreWe booked the Bungalow for four nights, we were really pleased with the location and loved our stay here.
The staff were super accommodating when our aircon stopped working and moved us to another room where we had no problems, it was perfect! For the price you get a nice bed, your own bathroom and some tea and coffee facilities.
Itâs very basic but you get what you pay for. The first bathroom we had had a window up high with netting so kind of open air, then our second bathroom was fully open air just over the shower, it still has a roof but itâs open. I liked it! I just wanted to mention it here so you wonât be surprised.
Saved the best for last: WE LOVED Warung Enak - the food is BEAUTIFUL! we ate here every day, the chicken avocado salad is incredible. The home made brown bread is excellent, I had scrambled eggs on toast every morning and it was the best Iâve had. Highly recommend this place for food. The staff are all so lovely and we...
Read moreWe went for the first time in this warung and the lovely couple who own the cafe are active in the kitchen to make customers happy. Atmosphere there is nice and convivial, staff is careful and friendly. Menu offers a range of Balinese food. We didn't have any expectations about food because obviously around Amed, locals are asked to please the tourists palates... as a result we were served with a really blend tofu/tempeh meal and half cooked salty barracuda dish (could taste that fish was fresh at least!) with not spicy sauce to complement the all. When asked for chilly, they brought this ketchupy spiced sauce that was sweet even (see pictures). I understand they cannot pleased everyone, however I will not visit this place in the future because eating pastas or pizzas is for me something that I will find in Italy not in Amed (or Bali...
