Oneway Espresso — Restaurant in Kecamatan Abang

I write this review as constructive feedback and I'm not here to just complain. Because I think that good places can slip sometimes and definitely shouldn't be judged by a bad experience. But as a owner of a good cafe/restaurant I would like to know any feedback that can keep up the good name of your place. During our first visit we've had such a good experience with delicious coffee, super kind staff and a nice vibe. We decided to go back the next day. This experience was completely different. We ordered 2 smoothie bowls which were very good (compliments to the kitchen staff) unfortunately we had to wait 40 min for them but it was lunch time and very busy. We had to ask 3 times for water and it was hard to get the attention of a waiter to place our order. But the thing that really ruined it for us was the fact that someone was vaping behind the counter. There were also 3 random people standing behind the counter that (as far as we could see) were not working there. They were distracting the staff from doing their work on the busiest time of the day. If these people were the owners or connected in any way maybe reconsider how this looks to your guests. It's not hygienic, not productive and is definitely not good for the name of your (I still think)...

Oneway Expresso is surprising. By the name alone you would think this was only a breakfast or brunch spot but it's not. They have everything from tempura seafood to ramen.

I only got to try the tempura seafood which was amazing. Everything was fresh. It was shrimp, calamari, and crab. The tempura was seasoned and crispy. Very delicious. I also had the Amed Egar which was not good. Its a strawberry and coffee drink. Not a good mix. My husband had the Summer in Amed which was very delicious. It was white rum with lemom grass and ginger. Very fresh.

The vibe here was very chilled. The staff was young and friendly. The service here was great. There was alot of people with their laptops working or doing homework.

Very hopeful when we entered this cafe, online menu seemed really good. Flat white coffee was very good, food was very disappointing, lacking in seasoning, chefs that don't taste their food before serving clearly don't care. We had gyozas which were very plain although the accompanying dip was nice, in fact we used it on the grilled baby corn and tomato salsa as it was so bland, the corn is overcooked and the salsa doesn't really taste of anything, the potato boats with Asian coleslaw weren't crispy, which us not difficult to do correctly and I can't understand why it's Asian slaw unless it's referring to where it's prepared.
