Vincent's — Restaurant in Kecamatan Karangasem

This restaurant was chosen to be a nice spot for dinner,but server who suppost to give us a good pleasant service as we expect in such a nice looking place didnt smile and didnt show any welcome and guest respect,we never feel so uncomfartable(( and ruined our eve,you guys have to work with your staff,place with such a great menu has to be on top of service....we ordered ice cream for our son and decide to not continue ... Im a Chef and this is unacceptable,this place has to look to their staff who doesnt care about guests,sad,my wife was telling everything to a Manager...but the guy was not even listening and doesnt show any attention with answer o...ok sorry...come on guys ..its all about hospitality and a taking care of the guests...big mess on customer service... Well, I've visited Vincent's. A table was booked beforehand as the restaurant is in high demand. Every Thursday and Saturday you can listen to jazz and live music performance on a grand piano. I would give 5* for the atmosphere but I can't. The music and singing is a bit loud, so it's difficult to communicate. Moreover, it's too dark and I had to use my smartphone's torch to read a menu. The service is OK, nothing special, ust polite.

The food is also nothing special, just tasty and that's all. When I saw the prices in the menu I expected something really mouthwatering. No, just usual dishes and boring presentation. The grilled fish, steamed vegetables and fried potatoes. There was mustard sauce but I didn't find the taste of mustard.

The dinner started with some bread and ... garlic mayo. What?! Yes, not garlic butter. Is that fusion cuisine?

Aperol Spritz was just half of the wineglass (surprisingly little) and, according to the taste, didn't have prosecco at all.

All in all, it was a usual dinner for high price. If you want to relax and listen to live music, come, take a coffee and eat...

A gorgeous restaurant in the small town of Candidasa on Bali’s east coast. Monday & Thursday nights are live jazz music; we dine at the start of the week and are greeted warmly on the street and shown to our table outside under the gently swaying palms and stars above. Candlelit table is your choice inside or alfresco… we choose outside and start with a pre-dinner cocktail, which like all cocktails from our experiences in Bali is delicious & strong! We share starters of cheese croquet and mushroom crostini, which are both crunchy, delicious and are accompanied with fresh salad leaves & edible flowers. For our mains we take the advantage on the good price for steak and have the beef tenderloin, which is a perfectly cooked medium rare, served with fries and veggies with garlic butter for him and mushroom sauce for me.
