What can I say about Mimi?^^
It is a very calculated design, from the double layer outer facade to the giant lcd display at the background of the performance podium. Meticulous consideration on cost and added value if I may say so 😁🙏 Resulting in one gorgeous masterpiece of powerful ambience.
It feels like mini W-Bali. Big monitors on each alcoves at the wall left and right, displaying the main stage. Another screens adjacent to them projected live chat (app downloaded from its web), it is hilariuously funny, you may also upload photos! 😂🤣
But alas, those three giant round construction of lamps do not move, can not move or may not move?^^
The crowd itself is rather preppy and proper, not as rambunctious as its other group's patrons 🤣😅
A little tip & trick, The band starts at 9.30, with a booming announcement and lights-play, get your camera-phone ready. Better come at 11.30, that is when the dj starts, if the edm is your liking. Basically 80%^^ is mandarin songs from the singers, 10%^^ is Indonesian musics and 10%^^ is English lyrics. So yeah, there it is boys and girls, choose the best entrance hour 😂🎉
The usual beverages prices, add some 30% mark up during event.
Not much on the food's area, pork is nice but super soft rice 😳😑
Very good crew, I uuuum, does not like the uniform, pardon me 🙏🙈
And uh, why the sound & lightning operator-desk has to be that long and occupied the best seating...
Read moreI have been visiting this place several times on a lot of different occasions. They are the perfect party place for Jakarta's chindo crowd. Live music is around 80-90% Chinese songs, and everyone sings along so the vibes are lit! Downside is the songs don't really rotate, they sing about the same songs every night, so after visiting several times you can be quite bored with the playlist of songs 😂. Crowds favourite singer is Icun (@icunlin), powerful voice 🎤
During event days the price inflated around 30%. Their food is really good, the mala xiangguo and shao kao are among the best in town, really bold flavours. The MC for the small table is quite cheap, and you're partying anyways so the seats are not really needed.
The service from the staff are top notch: they are quick on their feet, troubleshoot issues quickly, take care of your belongings, ward off people for you, and they even remember you. My complaints are that sometimes the AC is too cold, and the small table is certainly too small, the glasses and bottles often fall to the floor. But these are minor issues with profit incentives (so menu rotates quickly and people buy...
Read moreHad an amazing time at Mimi Livehouse! The atmosphere was great, food was delicious (we loved the Nasi Panda!) and the service really stood out. All the starfs were super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit.
The live band was amazing — great music, great singers, great vibes. One of the singers who looked like a Japanese even fullfilled our song request on the second session when we told him we truly liked that song when he bumped into us off the stage (thank you, ZAC!). Such an amazing singer who rap really well and what surprised us was he could speak Mandarin fluently! He sure brought new color to the stage and really lifted up the mood. On top of that, it’s always been nice to see a singer who genuinely care about his guests. Overall, we really recommend this place and will definitely be back! Please let us know on how to check the schedule of the...
