Beautiful Sea facing Cafe with lovely view and beautiful interiors but food not so great.

This place is in the middle of ALOHA in PIK2 and the whole area is very happening and popular with youngsters and families. First the View: View from level two of Cafe is beautiful facing the newly developed beach front and Sea. Recommended to sit outside in verandah on Level 2 rather than indoors. It may be hot in day time but they have installed fans too for people dining outside. Overall interiors of Cafe are lovely with strong indigenous elements. Food: We tried Chicken Pastrami Focca with a cappuccino and Pistachio Cromboloni. Sandwich was quite dry and even Cappuccino was a bit cold and served in a pretty small cup. Taste wise it was OK. Maybe we should have tried other bakery items which looked good. Service: Service was a bit slow. People do want to sit outside to enjoy the view. Cost: For a light brunch we ended up with 170K Indonesian Rupiah (~ 15 SGD) per head which isn't expensive given its location and ambience. Overall a good location for a slow and beautiful evening but not v ideal for daytime heat. Also food is also not so great...

Went here on Sat nite, i asked the waitress to give us upstairs outdoor seat, she said it has 3 waiting list & i’d be the 4th if i’m willing to wait. You also can’t move ur table after u chose 1. Thought it’s going to be long wait so i chose indoor one.

Was abt to order juice, but they ran out of stock for oranges & watermelon so I ended up order mojito strawberry. we were also want to order mushroom soup but no stock so we changed it to French onion soup. Food presentation 2/5.

Mojito was just like fanta in glass jar, soup is served with wet tissue coz it spills everywhere in a served plate. Bowl is too small but they kept using it.

After we finished our food, half of the 2nd floor outdoor seat is still empty. I don’t understand why waitress said it’s fully booked where the truth is its not (:

If you’re first visitor, put your expectation as low as possible coz the way they present the food is meh for me. They really have to learn on how to present the food better to keep the customer’s experience good.

Interior design is 4/5, but...

Apparently a lot of people commented about their bad service, but my experience having brunch here was a nice one! The waiters’ services were very quick and they were informative when asked about the menu. I came here on weekday and the cafe was not as crowded as it usually is during the weekend.

The food here tasted unexpectedly good, both desserts and main courses. I ordered their King Prawn Angel Hair (8/10), Pistachio Cookie Coffee Latte (8.5/10), Cafe Latte (7/10), and the famous Sweet Candelles with 5 dessert selections. Above that, the cafe’s ambience is top tier and I really love their interior designs. A very good place to hang out with...
