I didn't really recognize this restaurant, because I was there with my big family, and a rented bus take us there. But it is located at the main road somewhere in Batu.
This place is crowded and maybe full booked when we arrived. No wonder because they provide the best traditional East Java cuisine which is absolutely very delicious. Not this time, the fish was fried and then grilled with sweet sour spicy sauce. It left almost no smell to the fish. This is the first (and so far) only gurame that has found a place in my heart 😅 Sambal was very fresh, looks very mild but it was actually spicyyy. Price wise, is on mid to high end I guess for Malang. Similar to Jakarta's price, where ikan gurame costs you 90k++
Definitely will be back, if I were to...
Read moreLegend resto in Batu. I heard this place has already run for 33 years. The gurami goreng was fantastic especially the crispiness omg! Ayam goreng and their sambal terasi also tastes great. Fresh lalapan too. One thing we noticed was some bugs appeared from the rice's besek bowl. We asked the waitress to move the rice to plates and they did it quite quick. Perfect service. U can see the waiters waiting standby at some visible spots. The tables are very clean. Impressive! Written in google they open at 11.30 but we arrived there 11.00...
