Macan‘s Café & Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

To organize a Corp & Fam retreat in Bali for a group of 34 pax with a mixture of Muslim, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Austria, German colleagues, the most challenging event I need to arrange is food 😅. Macan’s Cafe is my perfect choice as the owner (a German couple, Yannic & Aglaja) are so accommodating to my numerous request where we need the food that are suitable for our Muslim & Indian colleagues, yet must satisfy majority of my Chinese n others nationality colleagues’ palate, plus kids from 3-11 yrs. The menus were specially designed for us for our preselection due to our large group.

We arrived late for our dinner yet the staff n both owners welcome us with a big big smile and quickly serve us with all the delicious drinks to cool our thirst. The servers no doubt are very friendly and fast in their service. Not long we have our starter and main course served hot for everyone. I was absolutely impressed by their service.

I love the environment which is so cosy with many plants around.

My hubby n myself ordered Mahi mahi Ceviche, Tom Yum Goong, Seafood Platter, & Lemon Butter Mahi Mahi. My hubby love the Mahi Mahi Ceviche and Lemon Butter Mahi Mahi (a must to order) & the seafood platter is so yummy for me. I only wish that the tom yam goong can be a little bit more sour n spicy n that will be a perfect dinner for us.

Oh yes…. Please please order the Burnt Cheese cake … super yummy, we had it for birthday celebration for our colleagues.

Restaurant have wide range of dishes, with that Red Snapper Seafood Platter being a standout recommendation.

It’s the most underrated place I have seen in Bali so far. The food is DELICIOUS!! Try the fried cauliflower with honey-chili sauce (not spicy at all)! 😍 But I have come back several times and the rest of the food is outstandingly tasty, too. The staff is very friendly of course as you would expect in Bali. If only the Main Street wasn’t so extremely noisy. Also the neighbors are playing loud music which intercepts with the music playing at this place. If your stressed out by loud noises, unfortunately this place won’t make you happy: but I suggest going here anyways, because the food is just so good and at the same time the prices are definitely on the very low end for a „western“ restaurant. The design and interior is nice also. Can’t recommend this place...
