WAROENG BISTROT by Cuppa -Local,Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner- — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

I had been meaning to check out this spot as I regularly drive by, and it looked cute with a cottage french vibe… and the reviews are really good! But I don’t know if this place has changed hands recently or something, but I left considerably underwhelmed. I stopped for some breakfast around 10am, and it was completely empty… so no vibe. But no problem it’s coming into low season. I sat outside in the courtyard. I ordered an ice water (never arrived) ice latte and some sourdough toast with butter and jam. The toast was nice, but because instead of butter, I was given rock hard frozen margarine… I’m afraid that ruined things… And then the jam was in an cheap old disposable plastic container.

I lost my appetite pretty fast, especially after I started getting bitten by mosquitoes and pestered by flies.

Was very lucky to find this cozy coffee shop nearby from my villa. I used to go to Cuppa and found out they have a new place opened just nearby.

There is a very cozy terrace, with lots of space and light. Everything is very new and well designed.

A selection of food is big. The salmon Benedict I had was really delicious.

The service is also very good. A waiter was very welcoming.

The price is lower than at many other places around, but I personally loved the Waroeng Bistrot more than many others.

The thing I liked the most is that it’s very quite over here. You can relax and enjoy while drinking your coffee.

Also probably a good spot for digital nomads to work at. There are lots of outlets even on terrace outside.

Will definitely come back to try...
