Waroeng Betawi Ahong — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

This warung serves betawi (Jakarta) dishes as such Soto Berawi, Gado2, Asinan, Es Teller and etcetera... my childhood meals. At beginning I was doubting of their menu, listing too many dishes from other provinces. However I saw many positive reviews on google and there is no other warung betawi closed to my hotel so I ordered Soto betawi, asinan, es teller and otak. Damn! This is the worst Batavian meals I have ever ate in my life. I should have evaluate the google reviews better next time! Which was mostly were written by the Local Guide! 😅😜 If you are not familiar with betawi dish, they are okay but honestly the price and quality are far off! Used to come here and I was wow-ed they provided mosquito repellent. However even though some of furniture and decoration were new, but in terms of service, food and beverage was terrible and overpriced. The vegetables were not fresh, batagor is really small portion. My friend order guava juice with no ice and less sugar, but what she got was tasteless guava water after I complained that it was not their standard like before, the staff insist they use the same ingredients. If say so, but why the juice result was so different? Finally my friend changed into mango juice. However the mango juice smells some artificial things which I don't know what was that. Yes, you come here for the portion, and that’s what you pay for. They serve various Betawi (traditional food from around Jakarta) and asian cuisine and taste is good. The place is quite empty when I dine in, so the service quite fast. If it is full, your patience should at its best, including that quite small parking lot.
