It is exactly what other reviewers have said.
The place only serves as a queue for cashier and takeaway. Price is 100k per box of 8 as of 27 Dec 2018.
It is more expensive if you get it at other locations, but as stated by others. this place has a lot of limitations: *) There is a limit of how many boxes you buy with you. We were limited to 5 boxes for 2 people when we arrived there. *) The queue was long and we have to wait for the cashier to finish their lunch break. Unimaginable as an establishment and a brand as well known as theirs. *) The cashier is definitely not the friendliest, since they had long queues awaiting, and is (probably) tired of first time guests asking the same boring questions.
Explanation on menu: Pia Legong only sell their products in the box of 8. They have two flavour: Chocolate and Mixed Flavour.
While we were waiting and afterwards, we managed to go to Pia Agung, a short 5 or so shops away from this shop.
If price is not a big issue for you, then probably you can get this pia at other souvenier shops...
Read moreTaste wise it's okay, but the services are really really poor. Went there on the first day to buy chocolate only to be told that only mixed left and they didn't really produce the chocolate only. Funny thing is I went there few days before and they offered me the chocolate flavour.
Okay maybe that's just because it's long weekend and they wanted to somehow "limit" the supply.
Then I ordered to collect the next day and to be told that my order will be ready to collect the next morning.
Came the next morning to be told that there's no more chocolate flavour and need to come back in the afternoon.
Come on Pia Legong, it's not my first time having your so called best pia in Bali, but it's the first time I experience your worst service.
Sorry not sorry, I gave you 1 star for this experience and hope you can improve your service before it's too late and customer will limit their own will to buy...
Read morePia is big and flaky but way too sweet. 1 box is currently IDR 100k and there are 8 pia per box.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. I went there today out of curiosity and there was no other customer but I was told only 1 variant left. When I asked how long it'd take to order the other flavours, staff answered "it's uncertain". What kind of answer is that? Come on Pia Legong, how come your staff doesn't know/wouldn't give this information to your customer!!!!
I bought one box and despite the store having "we accept visa" sign, staff told me I must pay cash if I only buy 1 box. Store layout is kind of weird, it's almost like going to a bank teller. You can't see the products until they hand them out to you. No display in the store.
Not a pleasant experience at all, going there once is more than...
