Nestled in a quiet area, the restaurant itself is inviting, and the tranquility made for a nice dining experience, especially since my wife and I were the only patrons at the time.

Upon arrival, I was initially disappointed to not see Chicago deep dish pizza listed on the menu. However, once I spoke to our server, they quickly confirmed its availability. I usually enjoy my Chicago deep dish loaded with spinach and broccoli, but unfortunately, those toppings weren't on the menu.

Instead, we decided to order a large Margherita pizza as an appetizer. To my delight, this pizza exceeded my expectations! The seasoning was on point, and the flavor of garlic really shone through. I also appreciated that my request for a well-done crust was met; it came out perfectly crispy, just as I like it.

Now, let's talk about the main attraction—the Chicago deep dish pizza. My initial experience was a bit rocky when I was served a pie topped with minced beef, which was unexpected since we had simply ordered a deep dish without any toppings. This was a bit confusing, especially since it didn’t align with the description I found online. Once my vegetarian preference was clarified, they promptly took back the meat version and prepared a plain cheese deep dish instead.

The Chicago deep dish definitely has potential. The sauce was fantastic, full of flavor, and the crust was just right. However, I would recommend skipping the cheddar cheese as I feel it detracts from the overall taste. While I personally didn’t mind the parmesan topping, my wife found its smell off-putting. A suggestion would be to offer it on the side instead.

One thing I truly wished for was a greater variety of vegetarian toppings. Had I been able to add spinach and broccoli to my pizza, I can confidently say I would have become a regular customer. I even inquired with the owner about bringing my own toppings for the deep dish, but he indicated that this might not be permissible.

I know pizza, I own 2 NY pizza shops... I'm from NYC.

Look through my Google reviews history, you'll see I try pizzas around the world, there are many good ones.... This definitely isn't one of those.

Their reply shows their level of professionalism... Insult the unsatisfied customer... Very sad really. Frozen pizzas taste better than these and yes perhaps...
