Nestled in the vibrant city of Malang, 11:12 is a cafe that has been steadily gaining popularity, especially among the younger crowd. With its inviting ambiance and growing reputation for quality, it’s a spot worth visiting if you’re in the area. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience:
Coffee and Pastry The coffee at 11:12 is a standout. Whether you’re a fan of espresso-based drinks or prefer something simpler, their brews are well-crafted and satisfying. The taste is particularly enjoyable on a breezy Malang night, making it a perfect spot to unwind. As for food, they keep it simple yet effective with pastries like cookies and croissants. These pair wonderfully with their coffee, though I hope to see more variety in the future as the cafe continues to grow.
Ambiance and Crowd The cafe attracts a youthful demographic, primarily customers in their 20s to late 30s. It’s a great place to hang out with friends or even work remotely during quieter hours. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the addition of more green elements throughout the space creates a refreshing, nature-connected vibe. The ongoing light renovations are enhancing the outdoor area, making it cozier and providing more shade—perfect for those who enjoy alfresco dining or lounging.
Best Time to Visit If you want to avoid the crowds, aim for 4-6 p.m. This is when the cafe is less busy, and you can enjoy the serene ambiance as the day transitions into evening. However, if you’re looking for a livelier vibe, Saturday nights are the busiest, though be prepared for a bustling atmosphere.
Growth and Improvements It’s clear that 11:12 is a cafe on the rise. The quality of both food and beverages has noticeably improved, particularly in terms of taste. The renovations and added greenery show a commitment to creating a more inviting space, and it’s paying off. The cafe feels like it’s evolving into a must-visit destination in Malang.
Final Thoughts 11:12 is a charming cafe that’s perfect for coffee lovers and those seeking a cozy, laid-back spot to relax. With its improving quality, thoughtful renovations, and refreshing ambiance, it’s a place that’s growing in both popularity and charm. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Malang, this cafe is worth a visit—especially during that golden hour between 4 and 6 p.m.
Pros: Great coffee, cozy ambiance, improving quality. Cons: Limited pastry options in certain days, can get crowded on weekends.

Read moreI visited this cafe and, unfortunately, had an unpleasant experience with the staff. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome due to the unprofessional and dismissive attitude of the employees. It was evident that their behavior was influenced by my appearance, which is completely unacceptable in any customer service setting.
No one should be treated differently based on how they look or who they are. A cafe should be a space where everyone feels comfortable and valued, regardless of their personal identity. Discrimination, whether subtle or direct, has no place in hospitality.
I sincerely hope the management takes action to educate their staff on proper customer service and inclusivity. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and respectful...
Read moreGood place, the ambience was nice, i love how they present the interior design with minimalism but looks so elegance, the tree inside building was iconic. The menu is good, i recommend you to order Kopi Aren (i forgot the exact name) and the Cadbury Dessert (the taste will sweeten your day and cheer up your mood) The minus point is only the restroom, they provide only 1 restroom each for man and woman, the cleanliness inside the man restroom was so bad, you can find tissue everywhere, wet toilet, would be better if they create more restroom (maybe 2 restroom each).
Overall was good an this place is very popular in this city
