Waroeng Steak & Shake Soekarno Hatta — Restaurant in Malang

After coming home from watching a badminton match, my friend and I decided to eat first before going home. We ended up stopping at one of the steakhouses in the Soehat area. The name of the restaurant is Waroeng Steak and Shake Soekarno Hatta Malang. This place to eat is on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, precisely before the bridge to the direction of Brawijaya. The location is on the second floor, above the Bebek Goreng H. Slamet restaurant. The place is spacious with a cozy and comfortable modern impression. There are indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy the available menus. The parking area is significant, and the atmosphere of the dining area is always crowded and queued by visitors. We can immediately find a seat and choose a menu when we arrive at the restaurant. The menus include the Waroeng-style steak menu, grilled steak, fish steak, various drinks, rice series, and snacks for friends. After choosing the menu, we will immediately pay for the order and wait for the food to be delivered to our table. Food prices here are also affordable and friendly to students' pockets. The restaurant is now much spacious, well-desigened, and suitable for youngsters. But, it doesn't prevent passive smokers from inhaling smokes from pesky smokers. Service was very quick and place was clean and neat. Parking lot is spacious too.

Food quality is up and down. We had Chicken Double and Tenderloin Double. My only issue was the gravy; quite bland with little bit taste of butter. Sometimes, the gravy is delicious. The portion was decent and price is still acceptable.

Drinks are kinda disappointing. With a thin and tall glass, if you order cold drinks, don't expect too much, cuz you will get 80% ice on your glass. But, if you ask for hot beverage, it's gonna worth your money.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the latest restaurant upgrade, but the quality of both food and drinks were unpleasant. I used to eat here many times with my friends. My review on this place is quite mixed. The food offered are affordable in price. It tasted good somewhat, but really it depends on one's preference. I didn't really like the lemon tea taste though. I didn't think I taste lemon and the tea is quite unusual for me.

My biggest complain on my last experience is the waiting time for food. I must waited around 40 minutes before my food came out even though the restaurant isn't crowded. Maybe that time too many online order, but really waiting 40 minutes for a food wasn't a pleasant experience to say at least.
