Restaurant Elios — Restaurant in North Sumatra

There are many choices of restaurants in Tuktuk. We went to Elios for an authentic local taste. The owner Manurung was very nice people, they were very friendly explaining about the diahes. You can get the food cook without blood, just ask. The chicken napi was especially wonderful with local peppercorns seasoning that will numb your tongue for a moment. The food is pretty good and the owners are friendly. We ate there a couple times for dinner. I ate the pork sate and roast pork, which were tasty. The veggies were delicious. I also tried a grilled lake fish, which was very nice. The place seemed clean enough, though the owner's dog was wandering around the restaunt when we were eating. The dog smelled like it hadn't been bathed in a long time.

The lady boss is really friendly and enthusiastic. Their signature dishes would be the babi panggang (roasted pork) and ikan bakar (roasted fish). We have made a reservation earlier for the baby lobsters and the generous portion served has surprised us. My recommendations, must try their pure passion fruit juice, batak chili sauce, ayam panggang (roasted chicken). Negative point: small portion of babi panggang and ayam panggang.
