BTM Penida — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Sadly would not recommend for a number of reasons.

Don’t know how this place has so many brilliant reviews! Maybe we came on an off day however I wouldn’t return…

There is three menus- local menu, tourist menu and expensive tourist menu. Which tourist menu you are given is based off (I presume) the way you look and where you are from. We were given experience menu. I had cap cay seafood and rice, my partner had nasi goreng seafood. My soup was good seafood was fresh but my rice was still hard. The fried rice was the worst we’ve had in Indonesia- no flavour and dry. We asked for the bill from a different member of staff who didn’t serve us, when getting the bill we seen that there was a different menu. We also expressed our dissatisfaction for the food at this time.

The pizza in the photo costs 100k Rp. It's made using off the shelf dough, very sweet tomato sauce, some cheese and a couple of slices of tomato. They forgot to give it, and after 40 mins when we enquired when it may be done, they went and got it.

Also had pasta napolitana. Also made of very sweet tomato sauce, with a small portion size (which may be the only good thing about it!).

The best thing was the Coke. They advertise free WiFi, and I realize why they consider that the strong point of the restaurant rather than any of the dishes.

Extremely poor value for money. Stay away if you can; the drivers will bring you here, and it's purely a trap...

Came here as part of our snorkeling and land tour of Nusa Penida - food was fine and service was good. The restaurant has a nice view out over the main roadway and into the valley, it's quite peaceful with motorbikes and cars going by occasionally. The meal we had included a fresh fruit drink (banana and watermelon for us), as well as choice of meal (had about a dozen choices), and then some fresh fruit. Food was tasty - satay was good, a little dry and nothing all that special. Partner had the soup and it was very warm and a bit spicy but tasty. Works well for a spot on the way to see...
