Jala Restaurant — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Great restaurant! It's cocooned within the Acala Shri Sedana hotel, surrounded by nature! It's a beautiful location with a really peaceful atmosphere! They arrange live music and events so the environment is perfect for a romantic getaway! The staff members are truly fantastic too! We stayed at the hotel and went to the Jala restaurant for breakfast every day and also had dinner there for 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed! We always looked forward to go for breakfast and dinner there, we'd always be treated with smiling faces and the staff checked on us like your family would when you visit them for dinner! Great experience:) I can keep going, but I don't think it'll make justice to the experience unless you try it!

If there's anything that can be improved, then it would be the food options. The food is delicious, but options can be increased or changed around for variety, otherwise there's truly nothing to complain!

A special thanks to the restaurant manager Mr Partha and his lovely team! We had the pleasure to interact with some of the members more often than the others, so I'd like to especially thank Mr Yuta, Mr Yoga and the gentleman who served us coffee in the morning ( he remembered our order by heart ) and the chef! I'm sorry I haven't mentioned the other staff as well, I'm afraid I might not spell your names right! Thank you everyone 🙏🏽💖

We came here for dinner based on reviews.

We got the seafood spaghetti and the Arrabiata pasta. We got some wine to complement the food.

We came from the other side of the island, so we saw how bad the road is to get here. It is like a road from a war zone. Absolutely terrible maintenance. The local community and government should invest in resurfacing it, as this would make a huge difference.

Anyway, when we finally got here, we saw the restaurant is set in a lively hotel with great views of the strait between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. The atmosphere was romantic and chill.

The service was quite slow at the start, despite the place not being full. However the waiter who finally served us was warm and chatty and generally good at his job.

I thought the seafood pasta was nice, despite this not being an Italian restaurant. My girlfriend thought the Arrabbiata pasta was not amazing and a little bland. We both liked the wine.

Overall, apart from the treacherous access road and the slightly slow service, I would probably recommend people to come for...

"A Fantastic Dining Experience Thanks to the Wonderful Staff!" We had a few days staying at The Acala hotel, the beautiful setting in Nusa Lembongan was only outshone by the incredible service we received throughout the night. The staff truly made our evening unforgettable. Yoga and Parta greeted us with such a warm and genuine smile, making us feel welcome instantly. Our servers, were incredibly attentive and professional. They were always there when we needed them, offering great recommendations from the menu and ensuring our glasses were never empty. They are a credit to the restaurant! We also want to give a special shout-out to Desy for her helpfulness and bright energy; she was a delight to talk to. Yuta was a pleasure to chat to, playing his music on a night.

We can't recommend Jala Restaurant highly enough. The combination of a stunning location, delicious food, and, most importantly, the wonderful team of Yoga, Parta, Yuta, and Desy, to name a few. We can't wait to go back on...
