Mangrove Restaurant: Pool, Bar and Shisha Lounge — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Wow, this restaurant is a great place to hang out and spend an afternoon or longer.

The menu is an eclectic well-curated mix of local and international dishes, well prepared to order and importantly, in a clean environment. I also commend them for using no plastic and many locally produced and organic ingredients in the dishes.

There’s a variety of seating so you can migrate from table to bar to the upstairs lounge to enjoy a Shisha smoke or rest with a book. I especially enjoyed hanging out at the end of the jetty with a drink watching the boats go by while laying in a hammock or sitting in a beanbag. There’s also a great pool for chilling with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas.

The staff are friendly and let you have space and quiet but are always available to help you along with whatever you need and give you ideas for local dishes or unique drinks.

Once you go here, it will likely become your go-to spot in the Nusa islands.

A true hidden gem! It is quiet and tucked away from the hustle and bustle on Lembongan. For a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and sheer number of options available to me. During mu long stay I tried most (if not all) of the veggie options and they were delicious!
