MOM'S Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

A long review:

Five minutes after we ordered our food the electricity on the island went out - most likely from a power outage. Everything was pitch black and I couldn't see my parters face on the other side of the table.

The female owner tried her best in calming us, her children, and solving the food situation. Her husband was hurrying his way home to start the generator so they/we would have temporary power. After getting the generator started the electricity still went out every 10 minutes or so - making cooking our food very hard.

The food still came out in great shape. I ordered the Club sandwich with fries and the Fried banana with honey. My partner ordered the Vegetable pizza and Fried banana as well. The owners came out with a candle and we had a romantic dinner in the dark on a tropical island.

Even though it must have been stressful for the family to serve their guests in a situatiom like this, they did it fantastic. I love Mom's Kitchen. "Mom" did a great job.

Highly Recommend!!! 💯 Went to have dinner at MOM’S kitchen & bar, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Good food and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing dinner. One of the highlights of the evening was meeting the owner, who is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a family-owned business, and you can truly feel the personal touch in every aspect of the café.

The owner not only made me feel at home but also shared some valuable tips that were very helpful during my visit.

And if you are looking for a place to stay then look no further. They have couple of nice bungalows there and the location is close to Dimond beach- perfect to catch a sunrise in the morning . Although I didn't stay at their hotel since I had already booked my accommodation elsewhere 😭 I would definitely choose to stay there on my next visit. Looking forward to...

We decided to you find a place for the night everything else seemed not suitable and we luckily decided upon this place there is also a fantastic restaurant where we had rice noodle seafood fried and grilled prawns nasi goreng and of course a few Bingtang….
