Kubu resto — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

So in general the value for money in this area is so low it’s kind of amazing. I had two experiences with the restaurant one take away and the other is dine in. I ordered a take away fruit bowl. It was such a small portion for 50 k which is ok, i wanted it and i paid for it But although its take away they charged me extra for the service weird but ok.

The dine-in my fried rice was nothing spectacular and the cap cay was ok but had too much pepper.

Here is the interesting part. I ordered a mix juice of pineapple and orange it came very very sweet i could barley taste the fruit, it was very clear that there is sugar but the waitress didn’t ask if i want sugar. I asked very politely for another one, they diluted it with water and brought it back to me. I don’t know if they think their customers are that stupid or what but if you are charging tourists prices the least you can do is actually serve what your customers order without cheating them. Moral of the story is make sure to ask for your fruit juice without sugar.

Please avoid this restaurant! The guide / driver take you here while on the trip in Nusa Penida and the restaurant service is awful. We had to wait for nearly an hour for them to come take our order (that too after I personally went to cash counter and requested them to send someone to our table)

The food is really bad. And the cost of each dish is ridiculously high. It's a proper touristy trap this one.

I asked them if we could pay by card when entering the restaurant and they said yes, but while eventually paying using the card at the end of the meal they were charging me 4 percent extra on top of the bill (4% card fees!!) plus they have 15% service charge on top of the bill, this makes it even more expensive for the horrible food that is being served

Avoid, avoid, avoid this place and ask your guide to take you to some other place...

I went to this restraunt n ordered pure veg fried rice with only egg for my husband who is vegeterian and only eats egg sometime. Even while getting served I reachecked again they said its pure veg.But while he was eating he found chicken pieces. When i told the waiter he laughed n smiled n even the cashier didnt have courtsey to apologies for serving chicken pieces in veg dish..Very rude and inconsiderate .Also we orderd lalapan ayam with glass noodles soup ,the fried chicken pieces were tasting very dry n funny and i didnt finshed the meal and when i reached hotel I THREW UP.i never expected to have BALI BELLY in such a pricy restraunt. I went to cheaper places in bali but the food n every thing was way better. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS RESTRAUNT SPECIALLY IF YOU ARE VEGETERIAN THEY WILL NOT SERVE...
