Nusava Restaurant — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

We had such a great time eating at Nusava that it quickly became one of our favorite spots on the island. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner here.

First off, our server Endian (hope I got her name right) was fantastic. She was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and was also cognizant of my wife's gluten allergy.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The fish of the day was mahi mahi, and wow, it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and so fresh – you could really tell they know their seafood here.

We also tried the local charcuterie board and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious and totally worth ordering if you’re into trying different local flavors. For two people, we went with the smaller board and it ended up being just right – not too much, not too little.

Honestly, everything we ate felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. If you’re in Nusa Penida and looking for a place with great food and friendly service, definitely check...

I ordered the Nusava salad, which came without any dressing, and the experience was mixed. The octopus was chewy and didn’t taste fresh, the prawns lacked seasoning. On the bright side, the smoked fish was excellent, and the pasta was decent, though not remarkable. The entrée was good, but overall, the meal felt inconsistent.

Here’s the thing: when I walk into a restaurant where the menu features untranslated French terms and the staff is well trained ("arm behind the back" kind of service), I expect the food to match an European standard. Amazing gem in Nusa penida. Nice and quiet place fully open on a garden covered with a bamboo roof. From the start to the end the waiters are really nice and helpfull. We had diner, they came first with free home-made tasty " amuse bouche". Then we got a charcuterie plater and a bavette and cordon bleu . Enjoying their own brewd bier and some apéritif, every was nice fresh and tasty .they also respected the cooking meat level, which is not always easy in asian country The staff take care of us all long the diner , we are amazed of the whole quality they provided in a such remote island...
