I went to potteria for the first time for breakfast. They have a breakfast that starts from 7 to 11 am and a normal menu for the rest of the day. I ordered a classic hongkong toast, roast char siu toast, hongkong ultimate chiffon rice, and a hot milk tea. The best one was the rice because the balance between the savoury gravy and chili oil blends perfectly with the sweetness of the char siu and lapchiong. The classic toast was balanced and nice, but it lacks the buttery taste for me, the charsiu toast was really good, the mozza on the top was perfect, and the milk tea is way too sweet for me, maybe tone down the condensed milk. The ambience of the place was really aesthetic and bright and i will definitely be back to try the signature claypot. UPDATE!!!!! So like i said, i went back to try their normal / lunch and dinner menu. I tried their signature claypot rice aswell as their kungpao chicken. Their signature claypot rice pretty good. It has a nice savourness flavour to it. The condiments given, such as the chilli oil, sambal and crispy adds a new depth of flavour to the rice and chicken, making it overlap with each other. The kungpao chicken was also really good. The chicken was really crispy and juicy, and the kungpao sauce was more to the sweet side rather than savoury. The onion gives it a nice crunch to the overall dish.

Potteria merupakan salah satu restoran chinese food halal di Tangsel. Sesuai namanya, menu spesialisasi di restoran ini merupakan Claypot. Di dalamnya ada beberapa meja dan interior tempatnya cukup eye catching dengan warna-warna yang cerah. Untuk menunya, saya mencoba beberapa menu appetizer maupun claypot di sini. Yang saya coba : 1. Mentai Torched Cakwe (IDR 35k) Saya suka rasanya. Cakwenya renyah namun tidak berminyak. Di bagian tengah ada campuran adonan udang dan ayam yang terasa gurih. Di bagian atasnya terdapat saus mentai yang di-torch. Namun rasa mentainya light, rasa asam, pedas dan gurihnya tidak begitu terasa karena rasa dagingnya lebih dominan. 2. Sichuan Wonton (IDR 32k) Wontonnya bertekstur lembut dengan sejenis minyak di bawahnya sehingga tidak kering. Meski namanya Sichuan wonton, namun pedasnya berasal dari cabe rawit tanpa menggunakan mala. Isian dagingnya padat dan cocok dipadukan dengan kulit dumpling yang lembut. Dari semua menu yangvsaya coba, ini favorit saya. 3. Kailan Duo (IDR 33k) Ini menu yang paling kurang dari semua yang saya coba. Kailannya terdiri dari 2 jenis, yang daunnya crunchy dan tidak crunchy. Sausnya menggunakan saus tiram dan rasanya gurih. Sebenarnya sayurnya cukup segar dan tidak kelembekan. Sayangnya, bagian daun yang renyah malahan terasa pahit. Ini bukan kali pertama saya mencoba kailan crispy. Seharusnya tidak sepahit ini. Untungnya rasa sausnya sedikit mengurangi rasa pahitnya. 4. Chili Garlic Prawn (IDR 55k) Claypot yang satu ini menggunakan topping udang dengan saus mentai yang creamy dan terasa sedikit pedas sekaligus aaam gurih. Saus mentainya membuat nasinya jadi tidak terlalu kering dan udangnya renyah dan segar. 5. Cheesy Baked Claypot (IDR 45k) Mendengar kata 'cheesy', saya membayangkan bakal menikmati rasa keju yang asin gurih. Sayangnya, tidak untuk claypot yang satu ini. Ayamnya menggunakan chicken bits. Bumbunya menggunakan bumbu charsiu yangbterasa manis dan meresap ke dagingnya. Ketimbang cheesy, rasanya malah cenderung creamy. Cheesenya beneran nggak terasa. Padahal saya makan tanpa additional saus apapun. 6. Signature Claypot Rice (IDR 59k) Saya kurang suka rasa nasinya sendiri. Nasinya hambar dan terlalu kering. Rasanya hanya ada pada sebagian topping saja. Menurut saya, seandainya saus seasoning nasi ditambah akan lebih enak. Untuk telur kecapnya kurang meresap rasa kecapnya sehingga cenderung hambar. Namun lapchiongnya cukup enak. Aromanya smokey dan sedikit gurih khas lapchiong. Daging sapimya berlemak dan gurih. Sedikit.mengingatkan saya sama versi non halal, namun tentu saja ini versi halalnya. Chickem charsiunya juga enak. 7. Crispy Cereal Prawn (IDR 64k) Dari semua menu yang saya coba, ini termasuk yang paling enak selain si wonton. Udangnya dibalur tepung yang tenyah tapi tidak terlalu tebal. Tekstur udangnya renyah dan segar. Serealnya tidak gosong. Rasanya manis ketika digigit, namun after tastenya asin gurih. 8. Fresh Ocean (IDR 32k) Sesuai namanya, rasanya memang segar. Warnanya pun cantik. Sesudah diaduk, rasanya sedikit manis dan asam. Saya suka karena rasa sodanya kerasa sebagai after taste namun nggak super dominan. Manisnya pun pas. . . Satu hal yang saya suka dari resto ini, pelayanan sangat ramah. Waktu penyajian sangat cepat dan higienis. Semua staff memakai masker, sedangkan yang di kitchen memakai sarung tangan.

Came here after lunch time at around 2.30 PM, thankfully there were only 3 queues ahead of us, so we waited around 15-20 minutes. We ordered their signature claypot rice, salted egg meesua and their sour fire kway teow (?) Firstly their kway teow broth taste almost exactly like tom yum, sweet, sour and refreshing, love it as it is quite light and not heavy. Portion wise I think it is not as generous as I expected, but it is using seafood soo.. Their mee sua is also tasty & enjoyable. I do feel like their.. tofu (?) Or I dont know carrot cake (?) Was a bit too mushy, I would prefer it to have some char on it so there would be crispy bits here and there. Portion wise it is ok. Then lastly their signature claypot rice, you can choose whether you want to have it berkerak or not. Of course choose berkerak if you are eating claypot?! Honestly I expected a lot but.. it was just ok. Nothing special. Not as flavorful and the filling itself wasnt that many, rice portion is big tho. Overall yeah sure it is good. Not something that I would want to queue in line for more than 10 mins tho.

Came here after lunch time at around 2.30 PM, thankfully there were only 3 queues ahead of us, so we waited around 15-20 minutes. We ordered their signature claypot rice, salted egg meesua and their sour fire kway teow (?) Firstly their kway teow broth taste almost exactly like tom yum, sweet, sour and refreshing, love it as it is quite light and not heavy. Then lastly their signature claypot rice, you can choose whether you want to have it berkerak or not. Of course choose berkerak if you are eating claypot?! Honestly I expected a lot but.. it was just ok. Nothing special. Not as flavorful and the filling itself wasnt that many, rice portion is big tho.
