RM Pagi Sore in Palembang is truly legendary! Opened in 1973, this OG location on Sudirman Street serves some of the best Padang cuisine you’ll ever taste. The rendang is rich, tender, and full of deep, complex flavors, while the ayam pop is perfectly cooked with a delicate yet flavorful touch. Every dish is well-seasoned, fresh, and incredibly delicious.

The staff is helpful, friendly, and super quick, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The only downside is the limited parking space, but trust me, the food is well worth the visit. Having tried their branches in Jakarta, I can confidently say that the flavors here in Palembang are even better!

A Padang cuisine restaurant with long standing history (back to the 1960/70s). Like many authentic Padang restaurant, you will be greeted with 20 or so dishes served on plates upon being seated. The way the crews carry those plates on their arms is quite a show. Taste is authentic and as good as you can get in Palembang city (bare in mind that there are many varieties of Padang cuisine too, this one has thicker & richer sauce). There usually would be a queue, mostly for takeaways. This brand has been franchised, so my experience applies only to this outlet, the first and oldest in town. Nice restaurant. It's cozy, comfortable. I loved the environment here. The vibes are attractive though. The interior designs are really fascinating.

The cuisines and beverages are great. There's a lot of choice and you can choose whatever your heart desires. I wanted to order more than one beverage because just looking at the menu made me feel tempted. The foods are tasty and really great. The mixture, preparation are well-balanced.
