Floating food stalls on the Musi riverside is one of the unique tourist icons in Palembang. Located on the western bank of the river, under the Ampera bridge, these floating food stalls are made initially on a boat platform, similar to the boat used to cross the Musi river. The boat was later modified into a floating restaurant, complete with a kitchen and food storefront, similar to food stalls on land. So, visitors can feel as if they are eating in a boat, with the sensation of swaying from the waves of the Musi river. Floating stalls here generally serve a menu of fish, whether it's pindang cooked fish, fried fish, or grilled fish. One of the popular stalls is Mbok Sri red stall. This stall is open at 7.00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. This stall is usually very crowded and full of visitors during lunch hours.
