New Taman Sari — Restaurant in Pemenang Timur

After checking Google Maps for places to eat in the area, which doesn't have a lot of good options apparently(!) I decided this looked the safest bet.

I ordered chicken satay and small beer which cost total 70k.

The chicken satay was filling and well portioned. The beer was cold. The service was friendly.

The menu had various options for breakfast, lunch and dinner with Asian and Western choices including burgers and pasta.

I was the only customer but visited here in low season and was one of the only tourists in the area!

Never had such a bad experience in my life, the food was awful, the beds were the worst and the staff were useless. Cockroaches riddled our rooms and we all had the worst experience and worst night sleep in our lives. The rooms may as well be falling down and are outdated and dangerous. If you want to feel like you’re sleeping in a tin foil box this is the place for you. Please avoid this at all costs for a stress free experience. Also it should be a warning crime that we had to pay to stay here. They should have payed us. The toilet also...

Rooms are okay, however if you are luck to the room close to the restaurant you will only sleep from 1am to 6am, as the staff and people on the restaurant are super noisy.

The AC in the room is weak. For the night it will be okay, but for the day, impossible.
