Indochine Bistro in Yogyakarta is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese and Thai flavors. The vegan Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with its tangy, savory, and slightly sweet notes, while the Banh Mi with tempeh was a delightful fusion of crispy bread, flavorful fillings, and a fresh, zesty crunch. To complement the meal, we sipped on their soothing lemongrass, ginger, honey tea and a refreshing lemon/lime/mint juice – both beverages were incredibly invigorating.
The bistro's ambiance is warm and inviting, creating a serene yet vibrant dining experience. The staff stood out for their exceptional friendliness and hospitality, effortlessly making me feel at home. Their impeccable English added a layer of comfort that was much appreciated. Indochine Bistro is a must-visit spot that delivers a culinary and cultural delight!
I'll definitely be coming back many more times and looking forward to having more delicious food!
Keep up the great work and here is wishing you all a wonderfully equanimous day filled with all of life's most amazing blessings and some 😊🙏🏼

Read moreExcellent service and staff who managed to run a kitchen during a black out with no electricity and their emergency light. It's a cosy and comfortable place with indoor and outdoor seating.
Images include the excellent Saigon platter which is literally a meal in itself but goes as a starter. It had an assortment of mushroom and shrimp baskets, spring rolls, salad and juicy succulent cucumber rolls with shrimp. Saigon platter is definitely recommend.
The chicken basil with a sunny egg with salad and Shaling beef were good. The salad was definitely fresh and had a crunch with excellent presentation. Fresh crunchy salad during dinner was a real plus. Lemon drink was a double plus.
Pity the electricity drowned the authentic visual experience, which the taste buds enjoyed. Will need to revisit to enjoy the delights again during the day soon.
Thank you for your service, it was awesome to enjoy...
Read moreFresh, flavourful, big portion and authentic Vietnamese food. We had the shrimp spring roll, beef pho, chicken bhan mi and vietnamese drip coffee.
The spring roll was delightful; vibrant colour, plump shrimp with savory peanut sauce was on point.
Beef pho was phenomenal, hefty portion, zesty broth and dare I say the closest to authentic Vietnamese pho.
Chicken Bhan mi was... I was torn between having it as a snack or a main course. The fluffy bun, together with a chicken and vegetable filling served along nicely cooked french fries were a filling meal.
Vietnamese drip coffee hit every note on acidity and aroma. Hands down far far better than watered down milk coffee served by coffee joints (memory or soul promise).
