Layang Layang Kitchen, Restaurant & Rooftop Bar Semarang — Restaurant in Semarang

I am Johan, who visit the Cafe at Sunday, 20 March 2022.

My experience at the cafe was not really good, the reason as follows;

The Outdoor place was closed because of a sweet 17th party, which is totally fine. But the way they convey the message isn't clear since the party then move to nearby verandah and leave those middle outdoor empty. (they were on the outside of the indoor area and not in the middle area at all) The middle area was in fact full of reservations and i definitely saw some people sitting there when i went back. My question is, why you put almost a whole restaurant (aside from the event) for reservation? You should at least save outdoor place for the walk in customers.

The waitress who server us was careless enough not to write down one of our food order which causing my father's food coming very late because it was treated as add on order instead of the main order. They insist that it was an add on, but they apologize and giving us a compliment.

The ambience of indoor place wasn't very good since some people come and suddenly the place become pretty noisy of loud laughter. In our defense, there is a guest behind us and we are supposed to be able to hear what they said since they are directly behind us, but instead i can hear those people talking loudly. I know Layang-Layang Cafe is a public place and they are free to do what they want as long as they don't break any rules, but can you at least warn the guest not to talk too loud since it will disturb other customers? (even those people partying wasn't making any loud sound like those people).

The elevator was a bit scary since when it stopped, it make like something is stuck and forcibly pulled and make the elevator shake a bit.

The parking lot is very dark despite some lights nearby. Be careful since people can fall because they fail to see a rocks or so.

Good points. The food is tasty The serving & cooking time is quite fast despite of the party event happening there. The staff were very polite, nice, and quick in response, also they guide us to the indoor area nicely warning us about a little stairs. The way the management provide a sanitary tools like UV Eating Utensils Box and Disinfectant Spray was really outstanding. The ambience was quite nice inside.

This reviews was just my personal experience today and of course will change on a later day. Thank you for providing me with the chance to express my experience there. I will definitely come back to have some fun on later day. Stay safe and...

The restaurant gives a nice view of Semarang. It has a nice space—with options of indoor and outdoor, friendly and professional staff, and pretty good food.

We got to experience dining in its one of the three private rooms. It was really quiet and lovely since we got to dine with peace without feeling like we'd be infected by COVID-19. The other nice aspect of the restaurant ambiance was it had live music and they broadcasted the live music into the private room, which was on a separate floor.

All staff we encountered, from the security, receptionist, usher, host, servers were very professional and helpful. Definitely felt appropriately welcomed.

Food was yummy — the menu consisted of curated fusion Indonesian food. They're on the fancy-er side for Semarang. Value wise, they're not the best, but still reasonable and fair. We ordered a few things and the most memorable ones were the "gule kambing" and "shanghai beef brisket" (not exactly the name on the menu, but these were what I remembered).

Tapi percayalah ketika Anda sampai Anda tidak akan kecewa dengan apa yang disuguhkan oleh Layang - Layang kepada Anda. Mulai dari lokasi yang bersih dengan konsep minimalis modernya, lift yang mengantarkan kita dari bawah hingga rooftop, bahkan disediakan pula jalur akses bagi para pengguna kursi roda, pelayanan sangat ramah dari team Layang - Layang, menu makanan yang beraneka ragam dengan rasa yang enak, dan tentu suguhan pemandangan kota Semarang bawah juga Laut Jawa yang dapat kita lihat dengan sudut pandang yang luas melalui konsep rooftop dari Layang - Layang Resto & Kitchen ini.

Ada beberapa konsep ruangan yang dapat Anda pilih di sini: Konsep Indoor dan open Kitchen, dimana ruang ini memiliki penyejuk udara yang berfungsi dengan sangat baik saat saya berkunjung. Kekurangan di ruang ini Anda tidak dapat menikmati makanan sambil menikmati pemandangan kota Semarang bawah dan laut Jawa.

Konsep semi outdoor 1 yang dekat dengan Bar. Disini Anda akan disuguhkan sebuah ruangan untuk menikmati sajian makanan dengan ornamen layang2 di atas Anda, untuk menikmati pemandangan Kota Semarang di lokasi ini Anda akan sedikit terhalang oleh kaca dan beberapa pilar.

Konsep semi outdoor 2, lokasi ini memberikan kenyamanan sofa bagi Anda sambil menikmati sajian makanan, minuman sembari Anda dapat berbagi cerita bersama orang - orang terdekat Anda dan juga menikmati pemandangan kota Semarang bawah beserta luasnya laut Jawa.

Full outdoor, ini adalah lokasi baru yang diberikan oleh Layang - Layang Resto and Kitchen bagi para pelanggannya. Lokasi ini cocok bagi Anda yang ingin menikmati kota Semarang bawah dan laut Jawa dengan sudut pandang luas. Namun satu kekurangan lokasi ini adalah ketika datangnya hujan. Anda perlu bergegas pindah ke lokasi semi outdoor ataupun indoor.

Untuk rasa dari sajian menu yang ada, saya baru mencoba Nasi Goreng, Mango Sticky Rice, Lychee Tea dan Teh Tariknya. Menurut saya secara keseluruhan enak. Dan dari menu - menu tersebut membuat saya ingin mencoba menu yang lain ketika saya berkunjung kembali di Layang - Layang resto.

Untuk budget, setidaknya untuk posisi aman setiap pengunjung akan membutuhkan budget untuk makan dan minum sekitar seratus ribu rupiah. Namun tentu semua tergantung kebutuhan Anda.

Yang pasti Anda tidak akan kecewa dengan segala bentuk produk dan layanan yang Layang - Layang resto tawarkan kepada Anda. Kinerja yang luar biasa untuk Layang - Layang Resto dam team! Terima kasih dan...
