The Restaurant stands just outside a mangrove forest, it is very spacious with a very nice atmosphere.
Unfortunately that is the only Nice thing I experience.
We arrive roughly 17:50, got Seated at around 18:45, Waitress come to take order at 18:55, and the Food arrive around 19:45. (+- 2 Hours)
The mood are already bad from waiting, and the restaurant is severely lack on staff. since it takes a long time for a table to get cleaned, which is the main cause why we have to wait so long.
You have to actually call the waitress or walk to them in order to get served. raising hands just doesn't work, because they are all too busy and not paying attention to the customer.
But the things you have to be aware at is when its time to pay the bill.
CHECK THE DIFFERENCE...
This is my mistake, I am not the one who ordered, and I just paid without checking the numbers.
When my sister return to the table and saw the bill. she realized there's 2 portion of the Salted Egg Fish Skin instead of what we originally ordered 1 portion
Thus I re-check Everything and immediately go back to the cashier.
At first the guy at the cashier didn't want to admit the difference in 2 of the items.
After a short debate he admit 1 of the difference as a typo mistake and return me the money.
BUT he didn't return the TAX paid, until again I asks him to do so.
For the 2nd item (Gurame saus rujak) he insisted that he can not refund it, because it is quite common that the weight to be different. after the 1st initial weighting.
which is sound very weird for me, but I am already too tired. and I don't see him going to admit...

The only thing that came on time was the bottled mineral water and a glass of ice (even though 3 person ordered bottled mineral water). Read moreApril 25th '18. I don't usually write reviews but this time it was a very bad dining experience at Kampung Laut, Semarang.
We ordered ikan bandeng goreng which is okay, the most edible from the rest of our order. Udang bakar, tasted a bit bland not fresh at all. Cumi goreng tepung which is VERY VERY BAD. The squid was very chewy and the frying flour is just bad, chewy and no taste at all. And then the worst was kerang bambu saos padang. The scallop was dirty i can taste sands and saltwater coming from inside the scallop like it was raw uncooked.
Service was so so.. Will never come back here again. Maybe because there was a buffet for a large party at the time and our order is cooked by some idiots, seriously. We left the scallop untouched as we don't want to get food poisoning. And didn't dare to order another menu after all these bad food.
Overall worst seafood dining experience i have so far. If Menega, Jimbaran Bali is a 9/10 this is a 2/10. One point for ambience, another point for large...
