Yang Kuang — Restaurant in Semarang

Yang Kuang serves up very delicious old-fashioned style Chinese-cuisine, at very reasonable prices. There are only a couple of restaurants left in Semarang that still serve up this kind of dishes. Most Chinese restaurants in Semarang has modify their menu a bit to cater to younger patrons. So I definitely like this place.

Cleanliness in this restaurant can and should be improved to keep people coming back. The place is tad bit dingy and hot specially during the day. Its location also makes it difficult to get parking during dinner hour.

First time coba makan di sini atas rekomendasi dari seorang teman. Saya order tiga masakan: Nasi Goreng Yangchow, Kolobak, dan Ca Brokoli Saus Tiram. Untuk porsi Saya rasa cukup banyak dan rasanya memang enak. Nasi Goreng Yangchow nya tasty, dengan udang yang besar-besar. Kolobaknya juga enak, dengan rasa manis dan asam yang pas di lidah. Namun, Ca Brokoli Saus Tiram dengan jahe dipotong seperti dadu Saya kurang suka. Mungkin karena jahenya begitu terasa. Sebetulnya, jahe tersebut supaya rasa amis sirna. Over all, Saya pasti akan kembali lagi kapan-kapan untuk mencoba menu lainnya (karena menunya banyak).
