Stoneaged Resto & Bar — Restaurant in Semarang

My partner and I were feeling carnivorous and decided to try this new place. We didn't have much expectation since there hadn't really been a good meathouse in town. But coming in we were instantly stunned by their interior detailing, which as its name implies, depicted the historical Stone Age. We were immediately greeted by their attentive staff, and we didn't even bother picking our seats since the atmosphere made every corner seems so cozy.

We couldn't decide from all of the interesting menu choices and ended up ordering more than we should have 😋 Our meals were all amazing, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The mussels tasted wonderful and we couldn't believe how good their smoked brisket and lamb skewers were. The meat itself was already flavourful and tender but with sauces and sides that were to die for, the dishes were exceptional (we had creamy mushroom and chimichurri sauces, also sauteed mushrooms and chimichurri rice for the sides). And we couldn't stop munching on their truffle cheese sticks either. Everything was totally worth the calories!

Indeed one of the best restaurants in Semarang. Equipped with amazing service and trained staffs, our experience is nothing but enjoyable. Great tasting and perfectly cooked food. We ordered the pork knuckle and ribs for dinner and they do not disappoint. Service is top notch though, even better than some fancy restaurants in Jakarta I must say (ahem). Overall, I am so glad that I chose this restaurant for this stopover. Fast response on whatsapp and you can even have your order made before arrival....

Totally mindblown by the dishes! Stoneaged is definitely for the meat lovers! They really put into details in cooking, seasoning, and serving the meat. Somehow you can taste "Rich Experiences" that presented by the chef in every bite of them. The place is incomparable. Very well themed and meticulously designed, which takes us back to the prehistoric period of Stone Age era. Yet its coziness and comfort are still at the forefront.
