We were recommended the ikan bakar and ayam bakar by someone who appeared to be either the owner or the manager of the restaurant. Following the suggestion, we ordered 2x Ikan Bakar, 4x Ayam Bakar, 2x Cumi Saos Padang, 2x Udang Bakar, 1x Udang Asam Manis, Terong Bakar, Cah Kangkung, and some drinks.
The first issue arose when our iced milk tea arrived 45 minutes later, only after we asked a waitress about it. After nearly an hour and a half of waiting, a waiter came over to ask if we would like to cancel the udang bakar because it was taking too long to grill. We agreed and canceled it. Shortly after, we were informed that they had just started cooking the squid and eggplant. At this point, we had waited long enough, so we asked them to cancel anything that wasnāt already prepared and decided to take the remaining food to our hotel.
At the cashier, we were told that they had run out of rice. This was quite frustrating, given that we had been waiting for 1.5 hours, which would have been ample time to cook more rice.
I had dined at the restaurant the day before, and while the food was good, it was clear this time they were overwhelmed by the number of guests.
What bothered me most was that friends of one of the waitresses, who seemed to be related to the owner, were served food and rice despite arriving after us. Additionally, while we were at the cashier, I saw a GoJek driver picking up nasi goreng. I couldnāt help but wonder why they still had rice for takeout orders but couldnāt serve it to us.
The food was decent, but Iām disappointed that the owner or manager, who personally recommended the dishes we didnāt receive, never offered...

We ordered kerapu bakar parape, kerapu bakar rica, kakap putih pallumara, cah tauge, cah daun pakis, cah daun pakis & bunga pepaya, tempe mendoan, nasi putih 1/2 bakul.
The seafood is fresh and prepared based on Makassarās cookings. All the dishes are delicious, with extra mesmerizing view if you get here during the golden hour (5-6pm).
We havenāt tried the coffee, but they have their own coffee roastery using Torajan local beans. Definitely must try if youāre in town and craving for seafood which is rare in...
