I've been lived in Surabaya for 7 years and just knew this place yesterday. If you need quick get away to Jogjakarta but you don't have enough time to go to Jogjakarta, I recommend this place for you.
At first glance, this place offers Jogja-like athmosphere and ambience. There are sign written in Ancient Javanese alphabet, gamelan sound could be heard from their speakers (even if its recorded ofc), settings of place such as chairs, tables, even big mirror that mimic the feels of Jogjakarta. Oh yeah, all the servers and cashier speak in Kromo Inggil (the softest form in Javanese language) but you could still speak in Bahasa ofc.
They offers (if I am not mistaken) Bakmi (ofc Bakmi right?) that cooked by your request, Nasi Goreng, and Nasi Ruwet. For Bakmi itself, you could choose either Fried, Soupy, or "Nyemek" which is actually soup that is reducted. You could add Ati Ampela, Wings, even Chicken Intestine to your Nasi Goreng and Nasi Ruwet. Also, you could add Sunny Side Up on your Nasi Goreng and Nasi Ruwet (not sure if you could add it to your Bakmi too but I'm sure you could). Even more, you could choose how spicy is your Nasi Goreng and Nasi Ruwet.
I tried Nasi Ruwet Pedas which in my opinion its not that hot but it was tasty (for sure). I suggest to add some Ati Ampela or Eggs cause it would make it even better! I also tried Soupy Bakmi which is also tasty. The broth was delicate and light. For beverages, I order Ice Tea which is aromatic and Wedang Jahe which is extraordinary (try it and you won't regret it).
Overall this is good get away cause you won't feel in Surabaya in this place (trust me), the foods and beverages are great. I do recommend to bring your family or friends to try it cause it would be great quality...

My favorite food here are Nasi Ruwet (Fried Rice and Noodle) and Bakmi Goreng (Fried Noodle). These food are GOOD! For snack, you can try Pisang Goreng (Fried Banana) with red and white sugar for topping. Nothing special for beverage. There is only 1 beverage that I ever tried once. The Nasgitel, it’s like a common hot tea, but more condensed. The waitress are using Javanese traditional language for service, but don’t be afraid, they also understand Bahasa. There is 2 place for enjoying your meal indoor and semi-outdoor. Indoor: no Air Conditioner, so don’t wear thick outfit, no smoking area. Semi-outdoor: You can smoke here. Still there is a roof above, so if it’s raining you can still enjoy your food. Available payment, CASH ONLY! Access to this restaurant is pretty easy, because it’s near main road, but for car parking lot, the space isn’t too much, so if you bring your own car, I suggest you park at The Square (Ranch Market) and you can walk from there. For motorbike, the parking space...
