Local cuisine, fried duck is served with cucumber and two kinds of sambal (mashed chili). It is covered by serundeng (I think it is made of shredded coconut that cooked together with the meat to enhance the flavor) Duck is soft and easy to chew. They do not provide cutlery, but a bowl of water is available for you to wash to your hand (don't drink it ya). Yes, we eat with our hand, Indonesian way to eat comfortably and to enhance the eating experience. I also order a nice coconut ice. This is a street food and only open in the evening, we dined in an open air. A bit difficult to find the place if you are unfamiliar with the city. But the landmark of the area is the monument Tugu Pahlawan. The monument is just at front of it. At the right side of the place, there is a cemetery that is acclaimed as cultural heritage. You have to order first the duck menu here (duck drum stick, duck breast, duck leftover parts, duck heart and innards) it’ll cost you around 2-3 dollars normally depends on your choice. That’s include rice (much like 2 portion of rice), 3 cucumber slices, and two types of sambal. The hot sambal and fried sambal. Then find your seating, as they only have long chairs, would be hard if you go with groups. They’re selling drinks as well, coconut water, orange ice, etc.
