Pempek Ny. Kamto — Restaurant in Surabaya

One of Legendary Pempek Restaurant in Surabaya. This was my third visit here, and I've just found out that apparently they first open their outlet in Yogyakarta. They offer you a various kind of Pempek (Fishcake), and several Palembang Foods with medium up pricing.

I ordered a portion of Pempek Selam Special, and Kulit, with add-on (yes it comes with additional charge of 4.5k) topping consist of Mie Kuning, Suun, and diced Timun. Flavour wise, i was expecting a slightly more acidic Cuko (just personal fave), but theirs is good. They have 2 kinds of Cuko, spicy and normal. Both is good, but with slightly acidic, it will be better in my personal taste.

Now the Pempek. Kulit and Selam is always a personal preference. The Kulit was served warm and crunchy, taste and texture was above the average, good! The Selam Special, this is a little bit tough, they said that this one is special because they use the Telur Bebek, covered in more flavourful dough than the usual. First, i tried without the Cuko, and yes it is more flavourful than their standard. But once i poured the Cuko, the flavour was a little bit drowned in it. Still good, but with what they charged on it, I was expecting little bit more. I will order the normal Selam next time. Also, i spent about 46.5k for this dishes for 1 person. Quite pricey, compared to the taste, but the portion is good. I would rate this probably about 7.5/10. All in all, I will casually stroll here just to find out how they taste in further future.

BEST PEMPEK IN TOWN! This resto has one of the best pempek in town! yups the taste of cuko was so delicious. For varian, they have Selam, Model, Kulit, Lenjer, Lenggang, Otak-Otak, and many others of Pempek

They also have Mie Celor, Mie Tahu, or Mie laksa too. for dessert they have Es Kacang Merah. it was so nice

For cost, Its so reasonable with the portion. not too much cost for you dine in or take away

Minus & Suggest: For take away they have additional cost for shopping bag. But the shopping bag was just ordinary made of spunbond with the color is violet. It could be a shopping bag can be a actively promotion like a indomaret or alfamart store with a good...

I knew this pempek resto long ago when I was attending the university in Jogja. But it is available now in Surabaya city, so it is easier to enjoy the most delicious pempek in town. The vinegar souce is best among pempek elsewhere in town. They provide 2 kinds of souces, the super hot you will never forget. It keeps on calling you back to experience the sensation again and again. You will find various choice of pempek, as well as tekwan. I am not a fish lover, but never understand why pempek keep dragging me back. The place is nice, small but clean. Location is easy to access, and to find on google map....
