I have been coming here since it was a quaint little place in Japanese supermarket Papaya and so glad to see it has become so big and beloved by many.
One thing I want to point out is the quality of the staff, which I think could be an eventual demise should it not be improved. One time I came in pretty late because there was a big promo (buy 1 get 1), and I just asked nicely: "Is there any bread left?", and the staff, looking all tired and annoyed because clearly I can see what's on display, said: "Well, Ma'am, this is late already, of course these are the only ones left." I mean, all I did was just asking as a customer. I think I deserved a friendly answer no matter how tired that day for her. But I didn't say anything at that time. Trying to understand where she came from. However, that left a sour taste in my mouth.
Also, their newer staffs often forgot simple requests, like asking for extra sauce. Up until my food was done, no sauce was given. Read moreNever have I doubted of this local coffee specialty, from the coffe itself to the bakery. To me, the bakery here is one of the greatest in town. It has an international standard, tasty, well baked, well wrapped, and most of it is well served, and the price also fair, compare to its taste and the portion.
Here in Graha, it has an enourmous dining place with plenty of seatings. Mostly outdoors, and some of them indoors surround the open kitchen where they use for brewing coffee, baking, and even taking orders.
The system is, queue on the line, order, pay at the cashier, and find some seats. Next, the waiter will deliver the order. I have to admit, they have a good system, a good view, and a good decoration as well. Unfortunately, since usually there are crowds here, many people often do cut the line, and the management does not really care about it. I have been here several times and this happened often even to my group.
In short, instead of the crowd and the service which make this place not as comfortable, i do love most of what's in here start from the food, the coffee, the bakery, desserts, and the facilities (wifi, toilet, parking area). For me, comparing the two shops, i would prefer go back to its first...
