Visited Second Cut for the first time and honestly had mixed feelings about the whole experience. The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by one of the staff β super polite and welcoming, which gave a really good first impression. But to be honest, there was a slightly strange smell in the restaurant that didnβt feel too pleasant. Luckily, the interior itself looked great β clean, modern, and well-organized. The seating area was comfortable, and overall the place felt cozy and nicely designed.
We ordered two burgers and two peach mocktails. The pricing felt a bit on the higher side β not crazy expensive, but definitely above average. The mocktails arrived really fast, which was nice at first, but then we ended up waiting more than 30 minutes for just two burgers. By the time the food arrived, our drinks were already finished, and that honestly took away from the overall experience.
Now, about the food β the burgers were just okay. Not bad, but nothing that really stood out or made us want to come back. The mocktails were refreshing but also quite average. If I had to rate them both, Iβd give 5/10 for the burgers and 5/10 for the drinks.
Overall, Iβd rate the whole visit around 5/10. The place definitely has potential β itβs visually appealing, the staff are kind, and the atmosphere is nice β but the long waiting time and the average food quality really affected our experience. I truly hope they work on the speed of service and consistency of flavor, because this place could easily become one of the better burger spots in town.
Wishing all the best for the Second Cut team β youβve got a great concept, just need a little fine-tuning to match the vibe...
Β Β Β Read moreThe Place: Not hard to find, located at side street. Cozy and nice decoration. Seat table ok. Music choice from free Spotify are in good choice as well.
Appetizers: Garlic bread ok. Mushroom soup incredible. Build up the appetite well done.
Main course: I took a package menu. 2x200gr Brisket+Bonus Mushroom soup. The first bite you can taste all the spice soaked well into the meat. Vegetables lack of corn, but perfectly cooked. Mashed potato not like mashed type, you still can taste the diced potato inside the mashed one. The salad side at steak plate were poorly made. Even Hoka Hoka Bento mayo salad taste so much better. The cabbage induced bitter taste and ruined everything. As the minutes goes by the more it likes as torture. I almost couldn't finished the dishes. You wouldn't need the sauce since the meat gets salty in every bite. So much potential waste.
Drink: Hot tea (this is the saviour after all the torture taste). Lemon tea also has bitter taste due to the lemonade soaked in hot water.
Price wise: A lil bit expensive, but hopefully the other meat not taste so poor as my...
Β Β Β Read morereading the review this place should be good, too bad it was tarnished by a bad service.
we order a meltique steak, a wagyu brisket & a carbonara spaghetti.
the steak was juicy, the brisket was good (its very tender!) BUT the carbonara spaghetti came out as an aglio olio. i asked the waiter if this is carbonara not an aglio olio & he confirmed that it was carbonara (even though i KNOW its not).
as i paid the bill the manager approached me & told me that they would like to give us another spaghetti because of the question i asked the waiter. she would like to confirm the spaghetti was correct or not but its already finished ( i ate it cause my kids won't have them ) so i showed her my photo oh the spaghetti, she said its carbonara but it should be more creamy.
the take away was different from what we have in the restaurant. i'll let the pictures tell the story..
it should be a 4 star but i gave it a 3 star because...
