Urban Wagyu - Mayjend Yono Soewoyo — Restaurant in Surabaya

First time here today and honestly it was the biggest let down, most awful dining experience we've ever had at a steakhouse. We came in around 5PM, restaurant was quiet and we ordered 2 sirloins, 1 tenderloin, 1 chicken kids menu, side dish, drink. We were served with room temperature steaks (not even warm)!!! One was even slightly cool in the inside! We called the waiter, told him of our unpleasant food and he said that their steaks aren't served on hot plates thus they're not hot. I told him that this was not our first time eating steaks and past experiences (along with common sense) have taught us that steaks are grilled=fire, therefore they're supposed to be HOT after they're cooked!!! We asked for 2 steaks to be re-made. The tenderloin came back slightly warm but it was cooked medium-rare when we asked for medium (see photo). But the sirloin came back even cooler than the first one we got! The team lead guy offered to re-make the sirloin again for the 3rd time but I had lost my appetite eating at this restaurant. Our conclusion: this steakhouse does not serve warm-hot steaks. Chicken kids menu was overpriced and not tasty for such tiny portion, too crunchy-hard that my young daughter couldn't eat it. Veggies that came with the steak were cold. The sauté mushroom side dish was served first, long before any other food came out.

I've been dining here multiple times and the food and service has been consistently satisfactory.

They have been updating the menu many times this couple years and we love them.

From the local AUS steak to the premium meat selection, they have been offering wide range menu choices.

For the service, there's one time I ordered the medium steak and it came well-done. I didn't complain, but at the end of the meal, I was just giving an input to the supervisor. To my surprise, they sent a complimentary dessert right away. 😊

Recently I just had the bone marrow. It's very recommended. (Sorry, I'm not so good in taking picture) 😁

Updated 14 July 2023 : Visited here last week and it turned out very dissapointing. I've ordered wagyu buttered rice the 3rd time. This time, the portion was shrunk drastically (as in the photo). The prime steak sirloin was also changed. The quality of the meat has dropped too. The texture was more like a processed meat, i don't know the exact term, but it's similar to the meat in "bakso". Staff & service : 8/10 they greet, inform, and explain you clear enough

Food : 7/10 it's very delicious food. Worth to try for you who like steak & some western food

Beverage : 8,5/10 I got strawberry beverages and the taste is the best, so fresh. 1 is never enough

Bar Area : i don't know because i didn't sit there before but they make a very comfy bar area recommended for you who like to take drink time with friends
