If you are looking for small portion of steak, this might be the right place to go. They have various menu ranging from Indonesian traditional meals to fusion western style meal. I always go for the Indonesian one, because the portion is more suitable compare to the price. This place is also very suitable for family dining experience and have spacious room in both of their floor. Smoking room available on second floor. However, when you go there on their busy times such as Saturday night or Sunday afternoon, expect delay in service. Btw, Bon Ami is also famous for their bakery, they produce many kind of traditional Indonesian delicacies which are influenced by the colonial era, for example 'soes marker'. Well, I have to say that Bon Ami Darmo is boring. Because of it's age the place didn't have the special design like the other outlets. From my last visit, what I don't like about Bon Ami Darmo is that the place smells like Rebung(I'm not sure what's the English or what kind of food is this) all the time.

I can say Bon Ami is one of legendary Resto n Bakery in Surabaya. When I was at teens, my father used to bring us to Bon Cafe. Do not know the difference, but it looks similar.

I did not recall when exactly Bon Ami presents in Surabaya, but Bon Ami is a complete Resto. They serves Indonesian and Western Food. Both food are recommended. The Indonesian food is Yummy and the western especially the Steak match with Indonesian taste. The bakery with varieties of bread, cookies, Dutch/Indonesian snack made you come back from time to time.
