Soto Kirana — Restaurant in Surakarta

Kirana is also one of the Soto stall that has a long history in Solo. My family frequented this establishment a lot since when they were still a small stall, but after they moved to a bigger place, the taste somehow changed, still nice but we don't go as much anymore. They have chicken and beef Soto now, and different kind of Javanese dishes. Still worth a try.

Nice place, I try their Chicken Soup (Soto Ayam), quite good taste light, but if you do not like other chicken meat part except breast part you must mention it when you make an order. They also use plastic and cover to ensure their side dish quite clean. They have different menu of the day, make sure ask before you order, curry rice is also good, i taste my friends meal. My favorite childhood restaurant!!! They have a lot of food which is iconic to Solo. The price are very cheap and there are little tourists. Most of the people who come here are locals so its a good way to experience the local way of living. Moreover, there are traditional snacks and side dishes available in front of you so you can just take them anythime when you eat (ofc you need to pay). Im not quite sure the staff doesnt speak english so communication might be a bit difficult but maybe body...
