Located around famous places in Lembang, makes it quite easy to find, nice and cozy enough places fit for bringing the families to enjoy their selection of food & beverages.
I ordered sourdough based croissant, I enjoyed every bites of it and because it was the sourdough based, it has unique flavors !
Next time i hope the croissant could be better if it could added more of the layers, but no matter maybe it was the characteristic their products. Sorry, did the staff reheat the croissant in electric oven / microwave ? Because i get the croissant served quite long time, I suggested if someday thereāll be improvement so that not taking to long for reheat the croissant especially.
I choose hot cappuccino to pair my croissant, latte art is good, taste quite milky enough similar rather to caffe latte which is not the big deal for me, because i could still enjoy it. but the macro bubbles form around the tulip latte art. take your time while frothing & pouring the milk maybe later.
My sweet tooth craves for the sourdough egg tart, it was beyond my expectations, not too sweet and creamy filling pair with flakiness of the pastries makes it top of the notch to finalize my experience.
Sourdough croissant : 4/5 Sourdough egg tart : 5/5 Hot cappuccino : 4/5
Overall : 4 out of 5, worth a visit to enjoy the varieties of pastries and the hot coffee selection around lembang area, where the place is famous for its cold weather.
Keep up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLembang is a tourist destination, over 1000 meters in elevation or about 4000 feet, and is a crowded bottleneck in a scenic area quite popular on the weekends, especially during hot season, as an escape from Jakarta. It is on the side of an active volcano which warrants a visit--the park entrance is about 10 km further uphill. The coffee shop itself is pleasant, with most seating outdoors under a canopy with artisan wood furnishings and a pleasant fountain, fish pool, and small gardens. The coffee was proficiently prepared with a couple choices of beans, using an italian espresso station. Additional beans were stocked and available. The pastries were french, but perhaps could use improvement by someone familiar with french techniques--some I had were tough rather than light and fluffy, and slightly overcooked, turning brown rather than golden. I did not sample the indonesian fare, but observed another table enjoying indonesian hot pot as well as some local specialties. There was room for cars, a few minibuses, or even a tour bus, but since I was there in the offseason I never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here more than 3 times, not my fave place but okay-ish. Only coming back because it's strategic and I really have no idea where else to go around this area to get decent enough pastry (which they have). They have wide variety of flavors that you can choose and all of them are equally mouth-watering, but if I may say so, try to get more savory options than the sweet options, they're more delish. Even with the special price package or the bundling package or whatever package they call it, the pastries still a bit overprice for something so....... average. Place is classic looking but not the most aesthetic pastry places out there. Half of the time I went there, the toilet wasn't functioning well too, and the last time I did, they renovate the place for a bit so it's a bit messy with the construction going around the pond area. Will I come back? until I find another recommendations, then yes.
Honorary mention: Last year I ordered their croissants as a souvenir to Bali, and even 3 days after purchase, the pastry...
