Feeling a bit restless in Jakarta, I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Bandung, seeking some much-needed relaxation and healing. Warung Kopi Gunung caught my attention—a serene spot surrounded by lush greenery and bright, cheerful vibes. I was instantly enchanted.
As I arrived, a light drizzle added to the refreshing atmosphere, and a delicate mist enveloped the area, enhancing the café's tranquil charm. The abundance of plants created a vibrant tapestry of green, brown, and white, while the building itself stood out with its predominantly white exterior.
I opted for an outdoor seat to fully embrace the coolness of the surroundings. The outdoor area featured glass roofing, giving it a greenhouse-like feel that allowed me to enjoy the gentle rain while staying cozy and dry. It was the perfect blend of nature and comfort.
The coffee at Warung Kopi Gunung was delightful, complementing the delicious food offerings perfectly. The variety of snacks and treats made it hard to leave, inviting me to linger longer in this enchanting space.
One unique feature of the café is a charming rope bridge that leads toward a nearby pine forest, adding an adventurous touch to the experience. However, I found myself too comfortable in my seat to cross it, choosing instead to savor the moment and the beautiful surroundings.
As the afternoon turned into evening, the rain eased, revealing a warm sun that brightened the landscape. The colors around me became more vibrant and inviting, enhancing my overall enjoyment. I left with a heart full of joy and a strong desire to return.
In summary, Warung Kopi Gunung is a hidden gem, offering a perfect escape from the chaos of city life. With its refreshing atmosphere, delicious coffee, and inviting ambiance, it’s a place where you can truly unwind and reconnect with nature. I can’t wait to visit again and soak in its...
Read moreAt the entrance, I already sensed there might be an issue when I had difficulty accessing Mobile Banking.
The food and beverage tasted good, and the delivery was prompt. The view and atmosphere were great and flawless.
However, when we needed to use our mobile phones, we encountered problems due to the very poor signal from the XL provider. There was a Wi-Fi voucher available like the one I used at the entrance.
We were seated outdoors on the 3rd floor, and while we could log in to the Wi-Fi, it logged out within a minute or two and kept repeating this cycle. When it did stay logged in for a bit longer, the connection was extremely slow. I asked for another voucher hoping for a more stable and faster connection, but it was the same.
The coffee shop staff did not ensure my needs were accommodated, and if they weren't, they should have provided another solution. But this did not happen at Warung Kopi Gunung; they seemed indifferent.
All the positive aspects of this place were overshadowed by one crucial element they failed to ensure for customer satisfaction: a properly functioning Wi-Fi service. My friends at other coffee shops around Cikole also faced poor signal issues with their operators, but they were assisted by stable Wi-Fi from the coffee shops, unlike at Warung Kopi Gunung.
I wouldn't recommend this place if you need to stay connected, but if you can enjoy it without using your phone for an hour, go ahead. However, can we all do that? I don't think so. I hope Warung Kopi Gunung management takes note of our issues so this doesn't happen again...
Read moreSorry, but this place is bad. The place looks nice, and the view is good. That's it. Maybe if you came here just for coffee it's fine, but don't order the main menu.
Minimum charge per person 50k, pay at the entrance and you get vouchers. If you order more than 50k, top up at the cashier when you order. Then why give the vouchers at all??
Main menu only available at 10am onwards. We were one of the first the come at 9:20am, the food didn't come out until almost 11am. And we didn't order anything complicated either, just Nasi Goreng.
The taste of the appetizers like cireng, singkong, tahu is ok. The taste of the main meal is not good. Nasi goreng is borderline tasteless and rice is soggy. But what made it worse is again, the waiting time. People who came later than us got served first. I had to ask to cancel the food orders before they served our food.
The atmosphere was nice...if the place was not crowded. But the place gets crowded by around 10:30am. And many of them smoke. Which to me makes the scenery moot because I'm not going to enjoy it while smelling cigarette smoke left and right. Honestly we wanted to leave if it weren't for our food not coming out.
So overall not recommended unless you smoke and wanna...
